Lift the Lockdown |
As a Canadian immigrant from the former Soviet Union, with family from Russia and Ukraine, it’s inconceivable to me that the Doug Ford Government or any Canadian Government would propose to create 21st century segregation anywhere in Canada.Over the past year all leaders agreed that vaccination is a choice. As a Western Democracy we respect bodily autonomy and the right to refuse treatment. But denying a person access or employment negates the choice and undermines informed consent. That is why regardless of our vaccination status, we must adamantly oppose any attempt by the Ford Government to bring in a certificate of vaccination. Downloading denial of access or services to businesses and institutions is also unacceptable. It’s up to Doug Ford to defend Ontarians from discrimination and segregation.I am most concerned that Doug Ford is providing the vaccination status of Ontarians to the Federal Government for purposes of the Federal Vaccine Passport and at the same time empowered local Chief Medical Officers of Health to impose their own, regional vaccination passports by a cabinet regulation adopted on August 24, 2021. Details at https://www.ontario.ca/laws/.This afternoon the pressure is mounting on Doug Ford from all sides. We must do our part to encourage the Government to not go through with vaccine certificates. Please call the Premier’s Office at 416-325-1941 and write to him at Premier@ontario.ca. I also encourage you to contact your Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) and demand “no vaccine certificate” for the Province of Ontario. Please find your MPP by postal code here https://voterinformationservice.elections.on.ca/. For the last 18 months Ontarians were forced to surrender many of our Charter Rights but we must peacefully insist on the preservation of Equality and Security of a Person.Yours very truly, Roman Baber |

Justifying the persecution of Alison Chabloz
Justifying the persecution of Alison Chabloz
The third paragraph has the well worn ploy used to subliminally reinforce the years of conditioning, by putting into Alison Chabloz’s own mouth an indirect admission that homicidal gas chambers really existed, when in fact she was referring to the delousing facilities for clothing. Then to distract the reader from looking to closely at this slight of hand they jump to an unrelated, disjointed combination of a two word quote and an alleged reference to deportation. This tactic throughout the hit piece along with ad hominems play on the conditioned prejudices, undermining and neutralizing factual logic, not to mention rationalizing the blatant suppression of free speech.

NOT VERY DEMOCRATIC: Five Globalists Will Be Chatting Among Themselves; Maxime Bernier, the Sole Nationalist, Excluded from Leader’s Debate
People’s Party of Canada (PPC) leader Maxime Bernier has officially kicked off his “Mad Max Election 2021 Tour.” With the election just four weeks away, Maxime will be crisscrossing the country to raise awareness about his party and spread his campaign message that “all the other options suck” to Canadians who have grown tired of the rhetoric and empty promises from the establishment parties. Earlier this week, I was in Oshawa, Ontario, for one campaign stop that drew over 200 people eager to meet local PPC candidates and hear Maxime speak. Maxime’s party is currently ahead of the Green Party and neck-and-neck with the Bloc Quebecois, leaving some supporters optimistic that the PPC will finally get a foothold inside Parliament. While I was at the event, I spoke with Maxime and some of his supporters about what makes the PPC different, what they expect in the weeks to come, and why the other party leaders refuse to speak to Rebel News. Here’s what they had to say: Many PPC candidates did not or would not reflect on any specific policy in regards to their ridings. Instead, the event’s theme appeared to be pro-freedom and pro-individual autonomy and focused heavily on general federal policy. Maxime himself championed open discussion while remarking to Rebel News that other party leaders are afraid to have a debate. This Thursday, I had an in-depth interview with Maxime on my premium show, Andrew Says. That interview is available only to RebelNews+ subscribers. A subscription is usually $8 per month, but you can access our premium content for FREE until the election — just use discount code “ELECTION” when you sign up. Click here to subscribe right now. Yours truly, Andrew Chapados P.S. It was a nice change of pace to finally speak with a political leader who’s not afraid to answer our questions. As you may know, candidates from both the Liberal and Conservative parties have avoided our reporters at every opportunity during this campaign. But we will continue to go out into the field to ask them tough questions the mainstream media won’t. Prisoner Faces Discrimination Because of White Nationalist Politics
Prisoner Faces Discrimination Because of White Nationalist Politics
Michelle Erstikaitis is not a political prisoner, but she s suffering in prison for her political views.
Miss Erstikaitis is currently in prison in the Fraser Valley Institution in Abbotsford, BC. She’s from Toronto, Ontario and knows no one in B.C. She’s had her problems over the years. She’s been designated as a “dangerous offender” even though her crimes are relatively minor — several assaults, breach of probation, harassing calls and an attempted arson many years ago. She is also the victim of her own misguided lawyering. “Dangerous offender” designation is almost always reserved for repeated crimes of extreme violence that usually involve sexual assault. None of this applies to her. She is scheduled for release in 2023.
She has struggled with mental issues, but is making huge progress.
We are not saying she is an angel, but she has repeatedly been treated with extra harshness because of her politics. She has applied to be transferred back to Grand Valley in Ontario where she can be closer to her adoptive mother and friends.
Her request for transfer has been denied for what seem like blatant political reasons. A July 4 decision says, in part: “She is deemed polite, calm, respectful, and able to engage in conversation with staff. Ms. Erstikaitis is identified as an active member of a White Supremacist group. … [She] is a self-proclaimed White Supremacist who associates with likeminded people. Some of these associates are part of the reason she has identified wanting to transfer to Ontario in order to be closer to them. … At the present time, Ms Erstikaitis’ community contacts do not appear to be pro-social, positive supports with the exception of her adoptive mother.”
How can she be an “active” White Supremacist is jail? To our knowledge she has called herself a White nationalist, not a supremacist. Notice no details are given about her “associates”. None of her offences involved her politics. Particularly bizarre is the decision that her “community contacts”, presumably her political friends, “do not appear to be pro-social, positive supports? What, exactly, is “pro-social”?
“The prison’s decision would seem to violate Michelle Erstikaitis Charter rights to freedom of belief and opinion. Their labelling her as a ‘White Supremacist’ is a smear and misleading. But, even if she were a ‘White Supremacist’, she’s entitled to her political opinion and, further, entitled not to be discriminated against on this basis,” says Paul Fromm, Director of the Canadian Association for Free Expression.
“I have known Michelle for over 15 years and knows she has a passionate interest in politics, including having worked in elections and even worked for a while with a Conservative candidate in Toronto. She attended the memorial held in Toronto in March 2013 for free speech lawyer Douglas Christie, the “Battling Barrister”. Also, in 2013, she participated in a protest held outside the South African Consulate in Toronto to support South African White farmers. For several years, she was also a writer for YOUR WARD NEWS. She has even reached out and written a letter of support to political prisoner Dr. James Sears.”
“While no saint, she’s a victim of political correctness and violation of her right to her peaceful political beliefs,” Mr. Fromm concludes.

CAFE HELD ITS FOURTH “FREE POLITICAL PRISONER DR. JAMES SEARS” PROTEST OUTSIDE TORONTO SOUTH DETENTION CENTRE ON AUGUST 19
CAFE HELD ITS FOURTH “FREE POLITICAL PRISONER DR. JAMES SEARS” PROTEST OUTSIDE TORONTO SOUTH DETENTION CENTRE ON AUGUST 19
TORONTO. August 19, 2021. The Canadian Association for Free Expression (CAFE) held its fourth protest today in support of political prisoner Dr. James Sears, sentenced to the maximum — one year incarceration for writing satire criticizing privileged minorities. We were joined by John (McCash) the Evangelist, a dynamic veteran of many pro-freedom protests, including many END THE LOCKDOWN rallies in Queen’s Park..
As of today, Dr. Sears has been in jail for over nine weeks.
* In January, 2019, Dr. Sears, Editor, and Leroy St. Germaine, Publisher of the satirical tabloid YOUR WARD NEWS were convicted on two counts of “wilfully promoting hate” against privileged groups (Jews & Women) in contravention of Canada’s notorious “hate law” – Sec. 319 of the Criminal Code. Each was sentenced to the maximum — unprecedented for a first time offender — of a year in jail. As Leroy is of Metis heritage, he was allowed to serve his sentence at home,
* In November, 2020, under protest, Dr. Sears and Leroy St. Germaine argued their appeal by Zoom.
* On June 14, the appeal was denied and the sentences upheld. Dr. Sears was immediately ordered to prison and denied even a few hours to say goodbye to his wife and young son.
* Dr. Sears’ Application for Leave to Appeal his conviction and sentence was turned down by an Ontario judge on July 16, but Dr. Sears was NOT informed and had to learn of the decision from a friend on the outside on July 29!
* Dr. Sears is virtually incommunicado. He has contacted his wife or supporters only eight six in three weeks and then only for extremely brief conversations!.
* Many people across Canada and the world have sent Dr. Sears postcards and letters of support. After six weeks behind bars, as of July 29, he had received NONE of these letters. Maybe the COVID ate them. Finally, because of our protests, as of August 3, Dr. Sears was finally receiving his mail.
* Dr, Sears complained to the prison authorities of sciatic pain but was breezily told there was only one physiotherapist to deal with the large prison population!
* On August 14, I had a brief conversation on the phone with Dr. Sears. He is really grateful for your letters and support. He is encouraged and delighted by our protests. He is a “celebrity” in prison and rightly so.
* On August 10, I dropped some money off at the prison for Dr. Sears’ canteen and shall leave some more later this week. I welcome your contributions
* Amnesty International defines a “prisoner of conscience” or political prisoner as a person punished solely for the non-violent expression of their political, religious or cultural views. Both Dr. James Sears and Leroy St. Germaine are political prisoners — jailed because they criticized politically powerful minority groups.
* A lasting disgrace is that only one mainstream media writer has criticized this attack on freedom of the press, which they regularly condemn if it occurs in Hong Kong or the Philippines.

Disqualified Conservative Yukon candidate Jonas Smith to run as independent
By Andrew Lawton – August 17, 2021 Facebook Twitter Pinterest WhatsApp Linkedin
The Yukon candidate disqualified by the Conservative Party of Canada over opposition to vaccine passports and employer vaccine mandates will be running as an independent.
Jonas Smith, a mining industry advocate and former Conservative national councillor, was removed as a candidate last week over what the Conservative party said was an “unwillingness to support public health guidelines.”
Smith said it was about his “opposition to calls for implementation of mandated workplace vaccinations and vaccine passport requirements in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Smith ran for the Conservatives in 2019, but lost to Liberal Larry Bagnell by 153 votes. With Bagnell retiring, Smith was set to seek the seat for the Conservatives again when Canadians go to the polls Sept. 20. https://www.youtube.com/embed/8VpHAI0TnBw?feature=oembed
Sources connected to the Conservative Party of Canada tell True North the party’s National Candidate Selection Committee formally approved Smith’s disqualification on the weekend. The nomination rules allow a candidate to appeal disqualification to National Council, though Smith said this path would be fruitless.
“I have undergone some of the process available to me, but it’s clear to me that when the central campaign doesn’t want you on, then regardless of the outcome of any process, that sentiment remains,” Smith said in an interview with True North.
Smith said he’s optimistic he can win as an independent, noting that Yukon has elected members of parliament from all three major federal parties in the past. https://www.youtube.com/embed/Rb9FZ6ooGKg?feature=oembed
“This is an opportunity to represent Yukoners regardless of party stripe,” he said. “I’m doing this in response to the overwhelming outpouring of encouragement for me to do so. I narrowly lost the last election and I’ve got thousands upon thousands of supporters here in the territory that want me to do this.”
Smith pointed to Jody Wilson-Raybould’s success in 2019 as an independent candidate after being kicked out of the Liberal caucus, suggesting voters respond favourably to principled politicians.
“Integrity transcends politics,” Smith said.
The Conservatives have not yet named a replacement candidate in the Yukon riding. https://www.youtube.com/embed/xzzk3oACAl4?feature=oembed
We’re asking readers, like you, to make a contribution in support of True North’s fact-based, independent journalism.
Unlike the mainstream media, True North isn’t getting a government bailout. Instead, we depend on the generosity of Canadians like you.
How can a media outlet be trusted to remain neutral and fair if they’re beneficiaries of a government handout? We don’t think they can.
This is why independent media in Canada is more important than ever. If you’re able, please make a tax-deductible donation to True North today. Thank you so much.
