Political Prisoner and Refugee Bill Whatcott Held By Ice, Will Claim Refugee Status
Shocking News.

Bill Whatcott is a Canadian political prisoner. On September 16, he was convicted under Canada’s notorious “hate law” of wilfully promoting hate against a privileged group; namely, the LGBTQ crowd. He had already been acquitted on the same charge. Ignoring double jeopardy, the Ontario Court of Appeal sent him back for a second trial. He had merely been testifying to his sincerely held Christians beliefs, obeying the Gospel injunction “to go forth and teach ye all nations.”

Bill had already taken steps to claim political/religious asylum, if he was convicted by the obviously hostile Judge Anne Molloy. That very day, he crossed the border into the U.S. Several weeks later, he asked a friend to go to Alberta and pick up some of his belongings and medications. The American was stopped on returning to the U.S. and told Bill would have to collect his good in person. Despite friends’ advice, he agreed and travelled to Sweet Grass, Montana. He was subsequently flown in handcuffs to Seattle. He will have a refugee hearing and in represented by James Blais of the Pacific Justice Institute.
