A member of the European Parliament for a far-right political party is attempting to move ahead with a speaking date in Ottawa tonight after one capital city venue cancelled the booking following pressure from local activists.

Christine Anderson, an MEP with Alternative für Deutschland (Alternative For Germany – AfD), has already appeared in Vancouver and Winnipeg. The final planned Canadian stop on the tour is in Ottawa on Wednesday.

According to a social media post by the organizers, the event is now taking place at the Preston Event Centre, in Ottawa’s Little Italy neighbourhood.

Anderson has brought Eva Vlaardingerbroek, a far-right political pundit, with her for each Canadian appearance, as well as a number of local speakers for each stop.

The locations of Anderson’s events are not revealed to ticket holders until two days before they are scheduled.

Initially planned to take place at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre, an email shared by Tammy Peterson on Twitter — the wife of Jordan Peterson — purports to show an email from the venue cancelling the event. The post was reshared by two of the founders of Trinity Productions, the organizer of this and previous talks by Anderson.

“At the time of your booking, there was no disclosure to OCEC of the nature of the event Trinity Productions intended to hold at our conference centre,” the email read. “Today it has been brought to our attention that your event features two speakers, Christine Anderson and Eva Vlaardingerbroek commonly associated with hate speech and beliefs that are antithetical and completely unwelcome to OCEC, its management, employees and others who use our conference and event centre.”

OCEC did not respond immediately to a request for comment.

A post by Ottawa antifascist activist Joe Morin shows an email he received from the venue thanking the Ottawa community for informing the venue about the people involved and that they were unaware when the event was scheduled.

“This booking has been cancelled,” the response reads.

Dubbed Christine Anderson’s Make It Your Business North American Tour, it does include a single stop in New Jersey, the only US date scheduled.

“I think in one way it’s a victory in terms of making them scramble to find something last minute,” Sam Hersh, a member of the advocacy group Community Solidarity Ottawa told the Canadian Anti-Hate Network. “Of course, it’s disappointing to know that, especially where we live, there’s a business that is willing to take this [event] on. I think the fact that this particular place, Preston Event Centre, agreed to take this on so last minute, says a lot about what I think their values and principles are.”

Before leaving the capital, Anderson will also be appearing on Parliament Hill at 10 pm on Thursday to speak and participate in a march to Confederation Park.

Hersh adds that he would like to see local politicians raise the issue of events like the one featuring Anderson and Vlaardingerbroek.

“It would be great to see them take leadership,” he said. “We need to start seeing these folks materially support efforts to stop these types of things from happening.”

A follow-up to February’s What Would Christine Anderson Do tour and a shorter spate of speaking engagements in Southern Ontario in June, her previous visits included meeting with Conservative MPs Colin Carrie, Dean Allison and Leslyn Lewis. In response, Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre issued a statement calling Anderson’s views “vile” and do not have a place in Canadian politics.

“Frankly, it would be better if Anderson never visited Canada in the first place. She and her racist, hateful views are not welcome here,” the statement said, according to the CBC.

The Ottawa stop will be the largest lineup on the tour with six speakers besides Anderson and Vlaardingerbroek. Among those scheduled to appear is Josh Alexander, who appeared on Anderson’s last tour. During his previous appearance, she not only endorsed the young activist but literally embraced him. Alexander has organized a series of anti-2SLGBTQ+ protests, some of them in front of schools, after being suspended from a school in an Ontario Catholic board for what he says are his religious beliefs.

A parent of a transgender student at the school told City News that Alexander had been suspended for harassing her child.

“You know what guys, this is what we need,” Anderson said from the stage before hugging the 17-year-old. “Young people standing up for what they believe in.”

German MEP Christine Anderson weighs in on Justin Trudeau, Klaus Schwab, and the ongoing attack on freedom

‘Justin Trudeau should be ashamed of himself,’ said Anderson. ‘He is not a Democrat, he is utterly disgusting, and he is a disgrace to democracy.’

On Family Day, a celebration called Family Fringy Day took place on a private farm somewhere between Hamilton and Cambridge, Ont.

The guest of honour: Christine Anderson, the German MEP, who is a quite the celebrity in some circles in Canada given her on-going criticism of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Given the freedom fighters in attendance, Anderson was unsurprisingly given a hero’s welcome at the farm when she arrived as a passenger in a big rig. She was greeted with cheers and was quite moved by the display of both Canadian and German flags.

This primary purpose of the event was meant to commemorate last year’s Ottawa Freedom Convoy. At first blush, it seemed odd that this gathering took place on a private farm closer to Steeltown than our capital city. But then again, we’ve seen how the Trudeau Liberals react to peaceful protests that run contrary to their censorious agenda.

Which is to say, this government has no problem fining, arresting, and freezing the bank accounts of Canadians in order to shut down demonstrations that they dislike. Alas, it would appear that freedom of expression in Canada is on the endangered species list; many Liberals, no doubt, would like to see it extinct.

While we would like to report that a good time was had by all, when it comes to those on the left who look upon freedom as the new “f-word”, such celebrations are… triggering.

Case in point: check out the jaw-dropping story in Cambridge Today headlined, “Cambridge MP condemns ‘Fringy’ Family Day as dangerous.”

Dangerous? What in the world qualifies a peaceful gathering as “dangerous” in the weird mind of Liberal MP Bryan May?

Nevertheless, May questioned the “true intent” of Family Fringy Day and what it was trying to achieve.

May said:

From the very beginning, the Ottawa occupation and blockades were about anti-government sentiment, more specifically anti-Liberal and anti-Trudeau.

Gracious! Anti-government and anti-Liberal and anti-Trudeau sentiment? Yes, that was the very point of the protest.

It should come as no surprise that May, a loyal Trudeau trained seal, is so tone-deaf. During the outrageous response to the pandemic these past few years, people lost their homes and their jobs and their businesses and were also coerced into taking an experimental vaccine. And May wonders why demonstrators were “anti-Liberal” and “anti-Trudeau”? Give us a break.

No surprise that MP May not only condemned Family Fringy Day but also took a pot-shot at Anderson in his Cambridge Today interview. May stated that Anderson’s “ideology runs contrary to Canadian values.”

Really? Like what?

Luckily, we were able to conduct an interview with Anderson in order to receive a rebuttal to May’s nonsense. She also had plenty to say about the Canadian freedom movement.

Check out our exclusive interview with this German politician who has the courage to call out corruption and chicanery.

Pathetic Poilievre Toadies to Minority Censorship Groups

“Christine Anderson’s views are vile and have no place in our politics. The MPs were not aware of this visiting Member of the European Parliament’s opinions, and they regret meeting with her,” says the statement.

“Frankly, it would be better if Anderson never visited Canada in the first place. She and her racist, hateful views are not welcome here.”

Pathetic Pierre Poilievre denounces visiting German politician, Christine Anderson. The usual anti-free speech suspects were having a canniption after three Tory MPs met and had dinner with visiting Member of the European Parliament Christine Anderson a member of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) Party. She’s a firebrand who speaks perfect English. Why shouldn’t MPs meet with foreign politicians of whatever stripe. How are we going to know what they think, if we don’t talk to them.

Nevertheless, Poilievre was right on board with shunning. His office issued a statement bristling with hostility: “Christine Anderson’s views are vile and have no place in our politics. The MPs were not aware of this visiting Member of the European Parliament’s opinions, and they regret meeting with her,” says the statement.”Frankly, it would be better if Anderson never visited Canada in the first place. She and her racist, hateful views are not welcome here.” (CBC. February 24, 2023)

So, seeking to prevent your country from being swamped by radically different aliens are “vile, … racist and hateful views”? Poilievre has shown himself ready to kowtow ti minority interess that have tried to limit what are acceptable views for decades. He is, of course, a big immigration man and massive immigration, as we’ve seen it for the past 40 years, means the replacement of Canada’s European founding/settler people.

Interestingly, one of the three MPs who met with Christine Anderson was Leslyn Lewis (Haldimand – Norfolk) who is Black and presumably would have known if MEP Anderson was “vile” hateful and racist”!

And you still think this career politician, obviously beholden to minority lobbyists like the Centre for Israel & Jewish Affairs & the free speech hating Canadian Anti-Hate Network, is an alternative?

Poilievre condemns ‘vile’ views of German politician seen lunching with Conservative MPs

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is attempting to distance his party from a far-right German politician whose views have been condemned as hateful and racist, and who was photographed lunching with three Conservative MPs earlier this week.

Christine Anderson, a member of the European Parliament with Germany’s Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party, is on a cross-Canada tour that ends tonight in Montreal.

On Tuesday, photos emerged online showing Anderson at a restaurant with a group that included three Conservative MPs — Niagara West MP Dean Allison, Oshawa MP Colin Carrie and Haldimand–Norfolk MP Leslyn Lewis.

The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, which describes itself as an advocate for Jewish federations across Canada, condemned the gathering, tweeting Thursday that it had raised the issue with the Conservative Party of Canada.

Anderson’s views ‘not welcome here’

On Friday, Sebastian Skamski, director of media relations for the Opposition leader’s office, issued a statement attributed to Poilievre:

“Christine Anderson’s views are vile and have no place in our politics. The MPs were not aware of this visiting Member of the European Parliament’s opinions, and they regret meeting with her,” says the statement.

“Frankly, it would be better if Anderson never visited Canada in the first place. She and her racist, hateful views are not welcome here.”

Poilievre’s office issued a separate statement attributed to the three MPs who were photographed with Anderson.

“It is, of course, not uncommon for members of Parliament to meet with visiting elected officials from other countries. During a visit, we recently met with an elected representative of the European Parliament while she was in Canada,” said the statement.

“We were not aware of the views or associations of her and her political party. We do not share or endorse her views and strongly condemn any views that are racist or hateful.”

The End of the Gov’t Office?

At the beginning of the lockdown in 2020, when gov’ts and employers began letting staff work from home, I predicted that, minimally, most gov’t officials would then continue to do so after this was over, eliminating a significant part of our ability to contact our own gov’ts in person. Moreover, because officials no longer work in the same office, there are inherent delays as staff cannot immediately contact others, and home workers decide their own hours to work (aka flexibility), which is to their benefit and not yours.

Sure enough, a Liberal Gov’t poll recently suggests that 43% of workers said they would look for other work if mandated back to the office, and 55% said they would be less likely to accept a new job if required to work from the office.

Of course, cherry picked people are then interviewed to show their support for a hybrid mixture of home and office work. Soon, all relations with our own gov’t will come to a halt as the lines of personal communication are all but denied to us.

And the ongoing situation where you must leave messages and gov’t officials will get back to you when it is convenient for them, will simply continue unabated. Plan for more delays in gov’t services in the future, if you get them at all.

Most people in the private sector, whose work does not involve manual labour, are also striving to work from home, resulting in a two-tiered system where higher paid positions also work from home, while menial workers in construction and retail, must work from the site.

Let your MP an MLA know that you are opposed to gov’t workers working from home while the majority of us are denied this, and what truly is, a benefit, nor a right.
