Are you familiar with Bill C-63? The government has proposed that anyone who speaks out-of-line is a criminal worthy of life in prison! Wow. If this bill passes, it will be a massive blow to the freedom community and to freedom of speech in general, in Canada. It would also deliver a big blow to my own personal freedom because I publish Druthers.
Please… we cannot let this happen!
How do we stop it? The first big step is raising more awareness about this insane bill. I find most Canadians aren’t even aware of Bill C-63 and the extreme tyrannical powers it would grant the government. But, when enough people know about it, I am confident people WILL stand up and strongly say NO to the passing of this bill. If it passes, we are ALL at risk of life in prison.
This is no joke. We need more people to be aware of this insanity in order to stop it.

I do not enjoy having to do this… As much as I enjoy what I do with Druthers, I must admit, sending these newsletters every couple weeks is not easy since I am always asking for money. That bothers some people, I am aware, and I am sorry for that. I know also that some people really appreciate the reminder and are grateful for these emails. So here we are again, me humbly asking you to help keep Druthers going with your financial support.
There are 2 main ways to do so: Neighbourhood Mail: You get to choose an area to have Druthers stuffed in the mailboxes by Canada Post. You choose which area you want done and then choose how big of an area. It’s 39 cents per neighbour for this service. That includes the cost of printing the paper and the cost of Canada Post delivering them. Druthers also earns a handling fee which helps keep good food in the bellies of our crew. Donate: You can donate to our fundraiser which provides the funding for printing papers and shipping skids to our volunteer hubs across the country for free distribution through our MANY passionate volunteers. Please know, 100% of donated money we receive is used for printing papers and shipping skids. That’s how we can do it for just 10 cents per paper.
Subscribe: Another great way to get papers and support Druthers is to have a bundle of papers delivered to your door each month through the mail. The papers are free but we do ask for a s/h fee. A bundle of 100 papers is $39.95 for delivery to any address in Canada. You can then distribute the papers freely into your community however you see fit and wake up more people in your own area. Any of the 3 options above are tremendously helpful to keeping Druthers going and growing. Tap the red links above. As many of you know, this Druthers project was started by regular folks from the lockdown protests back in 2020 as a way to bypass all the insane amounts of censorship on the internet on important topics, news & information. We are not professional writers, publishers or web developers. We are just people who care and we decided to figure out how to make a difference. Also, as you are likely aware, online censorship has continued to increase dramatically over the last 3 years, making Druthers more important than ever! What’s great about the new website? First, every single article we’ve published in the 3 years of papers (about 600 articles) are now online as stand alone posts. That means you can share your favorite articles in Druthers much more easily. Another great thing about this new website? Facebook and Instagram blocked druthers .net from being shared on their platforms since they deemed us as news and Canadian news isn’t allowed on their platforms now. But now with the new domain being Druthers.ca, anything on that website can now be shared on FB & IG. I don’t imagine this will last long as they are likely to flag this domain eventually too, but in the meantime, let’s milk it and share the new Druthers website and its articles everywhere you can, as quickly as you can. Easier account changes. We have over 2,100 postal subscribers and if you are one of those good follks, you can now more easily make edits to your subscription. Increase or decrease the number of papers you receive each month, change your mailing address, pause your subscription temporarily if needed, and more. We are still going strong, because of you! As this year wraps up, I would like to send my deepest heart-felt gratitude to the 10’s of thousands of Druthers lovers all across Canada (and beyond). While there is still a lot of work ahead of us to correct this tyrannical system we are currently living under, but we are making a tremendous difference. · Cash jobs on the side will no longer be an option, which creates economic hardship and higher debt.
· Tech companies have invested heavily in making electronic transactions secure but hackers are always one step ahead. In a world of 100% electronic payments, the risk of falling victim to fraud rises significantly.
· If cash dies, your location and purchases will be tracked automatically. You won’t be able to opt-out or unsubscribe.
· If you are on any government funding whatsoever, they could restrict you from spending that money on certain things that the government does not condone.
· Cash allows you to make anonymous purchases or donations. If cash dies, there will be no such thing.
· People in abusive situations are often financially reliant on their abuser. If cash is removed, their way out will be that much harder or close to impossible.
· Elderly, blind and people with disabilities will struggle. Many people can’t or don’t know how to use technology. They would also be vulnerable to scams and other technological difficulties.
WHAT ARE THE TECHNOLOGICAL IMPLICATIONS OF A CASHLESS SOCIETY?
· We will be reliant on technology every day. If you want access to funds, you will need the latest devices and software to enable payments. If you are not a very tech savvy person, this could become a big problem. It is also extremely expensive and inconceivable for some households.
· You won’t be able to leave your home without some sort of device.
· Cash protects you from being at the mercy of electronic forms of payments during power outages and looming high energy costs.
