So I just called the Compass Card line for Translink to ask about medical exemptions in the mask mandate.
The number is 604 398 2042, it’s also on the back of your compass card.
If you call they will put you through lots of automated messages, just so you know.
They had to transfer me since the first lady I talked to didn’t know.
The second guy I talked to gave me attitude, but he answered, seems he didn’t like me asking about it.
There’s a card you can get that makes you exempt.
No application and no medical info required…easy. But you do need to physically go to the Compass office.
Theres two of them, both in Vancouver. One is at Stadium Chinatown station the address is 590 Beatty St, Vancouver, BC.
The other is in Waterfront station in the West Coast Express office.
I hope this helps and I hope as many of us as possible do this to show them that they wont slip this by us so easily.
No application, no medical forms, I see no reason why not to get the card, but of course I will ask more questions of them when I go. – Gordon Watson
