Chuck – a 32-year veteran of law enforcement with many years as a criminal investigator shared insights into the politicization of policing in Canada. There was lots of opportunity for Q&A and an open mic for announcements and updates on local events, including a celebration of the 1MillionMarch4Children.
The Freedom Convoy opened the eyes of people from around the world to what is going on in Canada. And the Million March moved the freedom movement out of the echo chamber and into the mainstream because we hit a sore spot with the powers that be, over their indoctrination of children in government schools.
Building on the energy and success of that March, several of us determined to Stop SOGI are meeting again to plan our approach for the coming months.
You are welcome to join us at our next Zoom meeting, this coming Thursday, October 5 at 7 p.m. to make sure we never stop pushing until the SOGI agenda in our schools has been completely defeated. With a possible second Million March 4 Children on October 21, we have to start now to plan and prepare for the event.

They compiled the evidence of experts and victims proving that the government’s mantra of Safe and Effective was a lie. The Commissioners recommend that: · A full judicial investigation of the process under which the Covid-19 vaccinations were authorized in Canada must be carried out. Criminal liability, if discovered, may be dealt with under existing Canadian law. · The current use of Covid-19 vaccines in Canada that were authorized under the revised provisions of the Interim Order and the newly revised Food and Drug Regulations, should be stopped immediately. Laureen has become quite excited about the potential for adult learning in Tuttle Twins books and shared an overview of volume 1 “The Law” at last week’s rally. She intends to keep bringing her set of books to each rally so everyone has a chance to flip through them on their own. Mary Lou purchased a few sets of these books during that last super sale of Tuttle Twins books and will bring a few sets to this Sunday’s rally for those who wish to have their own sets.
Shawn Buckley was a guest speaker on BC Rising the week before talking about the dangers of Bill C47, concerning regulation of the Natural Health Products and what needs to be done to protect that industry. Bill C47 is another piece of legislation to fit the political agenda of making sure that big pharma holds on to its Intellectual Property (patent protection), and they have buried in the Bill, clauses that attack the Natural Health Products you rely on regularly.

His lawyer, Michael Alexander has been doing a phenomenal job getting witnesses like Dr. Peter McCullough on the stand as an expert witness. Dr. McCullough also tore apart any of the studies presented by the prosecutors’ expert witnesses, by using the same data their studies used, but saying that he has come to an entirely different conclusion from the data. Lawyer Michael Alexander also won major points on Freedom of Expression Rights and the lack of any description of “standards of practice” in the rules of the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons, effectively tackling either of those reasons for punishing Doctors for expressing their own opinions. This is high drama and crucial to the potential success when these cases reach the Supreme Court. The results could affect every medical professional and potentially every other case where a professional has spoken out against any government overreach. We paraphrase Laureen’s notes here: Natural Health Products Protection Association NHPPA – has three videos in which Shawn Buckley / Constitutional Lawyer talks in depth about Federal Bill C47 / The Budget Bill and how sections 500 to 504 will have a devastating impact on all Naturopathic Doctors and Natural Health Products. https://nhppa.org/As a guest speaker in the BC Rising Zoom meeting on July 19, 2023, Shawn talked about how Canada’s drug laws are there to protect “Intellectual Property” and not the people. With Bill C47, the Government is trying to do the same. Bill C47 is not about ensuring that Natural Health Products are safe, it is about making changes so that the Government can protect the Intellectual Property (patents) of the Big Pharma.For instance, White Willow Bark is a natural pain killer. Bayer wanted to be able to somehow patent this, so they isolated one specific part of White Willow bark, then added other things to the part they isolated which they then called the finished product “Aspirin”. In so doing, they were then able to Patent it. Bill C47 sections 500 to 504 are also about creative ways to collect fees from Natural Health Providers and Health food stores etc. Those same fees they will be collecting will be used to help fund Health Canada in controlling Natural Health Products in the manner that best protects Intellectual Property. Most of Health Canada’s budget comes from fees. This is a conflict of interest and Bottom Line Health Canada is basically a Trade Association which deals in “Rent Seeking”. “Rent” in rent-seeking is based on the economic definition of the term, which is defined as economic wealth obtained through shrewd or potentially manipulative use of resources.Shawn also criticizes the Bill C47 SOS Postcard campaign, which does not talk about the fees which are the real issue of Bill C47. He also says that the SOS postcards don’t ask to repeal this bill and other than sending these postcards to MP’s, they don’t ask for any other actions to be taken. Shawn also said that because the SOS postcards don’t mention the real problem with bill C47, MP’s are receiving them and looking into the matter only to find that what the postcards are saying is not what is actually taking place. Shawn calls the SOS postcards an ineffective campaign as it misses the real problems and it makes people think they are taking real action when they aren’t. In addition, the Canadian Health Food Association, which sponsors the SOS campaign also gets funding from the Federal Government. (Editor Note: The CHFA is a membership organization with both very large and very small businesses as members, with the larger organizations providing most of the membership dues. This makes it a helpful tool for supporting the larger corporations which could benefit the smaller players out of the market.)Health Canada has tried twice before to get complete control over Natural Health Products. First in 1997 then again in 2004. I remember signing a petition in 2004 against this. The NHPPA fought back hard on this and won. However, out of that came the regulation of Natural Health Products. Fast forward to today. The Government is using a new tactic by including the control of Natural Health Products in the Budget Bill as their other attempts to do so by separate Bills, failed. Laureen, Shar, Derrick, Alex, Amadeo and I talked to a lot of people along the Lakeshore last Sunday and handed out Bill 36 materials and newly-printed Penticton4Freedom “business cards” announcing our weekly meetings at Lakawanna Park. While some people just waved us off, the majority of those who at least made eye contact, did stop to learn what it was all about, and most of them were grateful for the materials. We met some individuals who are already on our email list, a lot from other cities here for the weekend events and added another 4 new names to our email list, with promises from several to drop by our rallies on Sundays. We all agreed we’d like to do this again. Way more people than we expected ARE awake, even though they may not have access to all the resources we have each week at our fingertips.

The sections of the bill pertaining to natural health products (sections 500-504) were well hidden inside a lengthy budget bill and as a result, many Canadians were not aware of them. Now that the bill has passed, it is urgent that we take action to protect our access to natural health products. We must demand that our MPs repeal sections 500 to 504 from Bill C-47. Understanding the consequences of sections 500-504 of Bill C-47 is critical for any Canadian who uses natural health products, seeks services from natural health practitioners, and values their freedom to care for their body in whatever way they choose. The Natural Health Products Protection Association (NHPPA.org) has updated Shawn Buckley’s latest Discussion Paper to reflect Bill C-47 passing into law. Delete all payment methods from your devices (apple pay, digital bank cards etc). If enough people stop using these convenient services, it will send a message. Talk about it…raise awareness. After an incredible two days in court March 1st and 2nd, everyone finally got to see what the fuss is all about – and the shock even in the media was visible everywhere in the courtroom. Even opposition media, who came out in droves hoping to see some incredible fight scene to label me with, were amazed and dismayed at what truly occurred. The video, taken by one of our loyal supporters clearly showed that THEY (security guards) pushed into David, not the reverse. And more evidence is yet to come.
Now that everyone in the courtroom has seen the video of what really happened, even some media who were present were surprised at what occurred. I guess they were hoping for some wild fist fight that of course simply did not happen…as the video shows, THEY assaulted me. Thank you for all your support!
IMPORTANT NOTE – Just to NO to unlawful searches:
Please do not bring bags, purses, knapsacks etc. as the corrupt Sheriffs will likely be trying to search everyone going into the courtroom. I would prefer that we do not give up our Constitutional right to be free from unreasonable searches while we are exercising our Constitutional right to open court!

After an incredible two days in court March 1st and 2nd, everyone finally got to see what the fuss is all about – and the shock even in the media was visible everywhere in the courtroom. Even opposition media, who came out in droves hoping to see some incredible fight scene to label me with, were amazed and dismayed at what truly occurred. The video, taken by one of our loyal supporters clearly showed that THEY (security guards) pushed into David, not the reverse. And more evidence is yet to come.

Thanks to your past donations, we have delivered over 8000 copies of Druthers, plus various inserts, in Kelowna and W. Kelowna, with lots more to go!
Future protests are being strategically planned right now for City Hall, the courthouse, and other locations.
Many people believe that the COVID-19 issue is over – and it is not. Freedom is a multi-generational struggle, where we hope to leave a better place for our children. Other serious issues are lurking ominously in the near future that we will need to focus on: 15 min cities; legal actions; digital ID and digital currencies to start. These will require ongoing research and production of signs and materials for public education. The digital ID and currency issues are two of the most critical and going to involve significant amounts of education for people.

WORTH A LOOK STEP 22 – SUPPORT THE ‘WE ARE READY’ GLOBAL EVENT This is unlike any other event, it’s not a protest…it’s a DISPLAY OF COLLECTIVE STRENGTH. There are already over 30 events planned worldwide. From small towns to capital cities…multiple events are being added daily. This event is a great opportunity to connect with local like-minded people by utilizing the global promotion they’re already doing. Some organisers are hosting a rally, some are having a casual picnic or market. Some have organised swap meets…it doesn’t matter what you do as long as you bring people together and empower them with the message…”we are ready”. A great suggestion is to collect email addresses from attendees on the day. That way you can keep in touch with them and create a local community. You can organise weekly coffee catch-ups or walks and the group can be there to support each other when/if things get tough. You can also enrol them in activism activities and events when they arise. Dear Editor: I recently picked up a brochure from Penticton City Hall’s front desk. It’s called Reimagine Northern Gateway, and is the plan to establish the city’s first 15-minute neighborhood. There are going to be more? Funny, we were told at the March open house that 15-minute cities wouldn’t happen here in our lifetime, calling it a neighbourhood doesn’t disguise the agenda. And greater Penticton is already less than a 15- minute drive to anywhere in the city. There were committees in the recent past that applied to Infrastructure Canada, apparently on behalf of the people of Penticton, to structure our city to be a SMART city, look it up, also C40. This entails using taxpayer dollars to develop our city to be a utopia where no one owns cars or travels, except by walking, biking, riding the bus. The new lake-to-lake bike lane is finished, what’s on the agenda now is to eliminate car use by installing concrete barricades to make vehicle use a lot less handy. RNG brochure details reducing traffic for “active transportation: aka walk, bike? Building more commercial space? Meanwhile the downtown is getting more and more vacant commercial space? More indoor ice surfaces, are the ones we have over-utilized? The City is acquiring land in the area, and spending over $200 million into SOEC campus, is this why taxes are going up? We have a $10 million, or more, electric reserve, which the city is “borrowing” from, for the unasked for, by the people, bike lanes. In case you missed the rally last Sunday…
Darren honoured us by leading us in singing the four verses of O Canada. Thank you, Darren.
Then Rita Harter, (formerly Rita Chretien), shared her “Mother’s Day Miracle” story about how she survived for 7 weeks in the Nevada Desert with only a small bag of trail mix, Omega 3’s and her faith. Rita’s husband, Dale provided musical support.
This was a message for never giving up hope.
Updates were also provided on the following initiatives:
1. Recall David Eby Campaign (Laureen, Wayne, Derrick): the numbers are in. Although fewer than 3,000 voter signatures were acquired, volunteers handed out 80,000 information pieces to alert the public to the dangers of Bill 36. Thank you to all who participated in the campaign with your time and dollars. We are the messengers!
2. Cash is King campaign (Steve): Brochures and signs have been dropped off at several stores. At one in Keremeos, a trucker saw the brochure and immediately asked for their entire supply so he could drop them off at every stop he makes in his travels. You never know when one piece of information will motivate someone to jump right in and get involved.
3. Doctor Package deliveries (Shar, Steve, Mary Lou): All pharmacies in Penticton and OK Falls, plus a few doctors’ offices have already received packages. Volunteers are back at it this week, and by publication time, close to 50 packages in total have been delivered. It’s fun and gratifying work to see the appreciation from those who were receptive to our message.
