Shocking Arrest of Rebel News Reporter David Menzies Reveals How Far Canada Has Fallen

How bad is it in Canada?

Rebel News reporter David Menzies was “arrested for assault” for asking Deputy PM Chrystia Freeland questions.

You can clearly see David did not “assault” Freeland. It’s arguable that he never even made physical contact.

Worse yet, Justin Trudeau has effectively suppressed Canadians’ access to independent media, compelling them to otherwise go to the CBC, what Elon Musk would call “government-funded media.”

Trudeau has admitted, “There’s a level of admiration I have for China.” Is it too late to save Canada?

Not only has David been arrested several times for simply doing his job, so have I and many of our peers in independent media.

Police are used as a weapon by those in power to restrict our access, and through us, you, from powerful people. Justin Trudeau, Guilbeault, Freeland, and even Rachel Notley are all guilty of harnessing the justice system to protect their political power.

It is one of the hallmarks of tyranny.

That is why I am so pleased to report today that I have received word from the Conservative Party that they are calling for an official Parliamentary investigation into the events of yesterday.

But just looking into yesterday is not enough – they must investigate the the cause and not just the symptom of our media landscape in this country.

Would you like to know why David Menzies was asking Freeland questions on a sidewalk in the way that he was? It is because Independent journalists are barred from the Parliamentary Press Gallery by the CBC/CTV/Global News/Radio-Canada media cartel.

Because it is the only way for non-paid off journalists in Canada to speak to officials.

When I reached out to Freeland’s office about her speeding ticket, they ignored me and sent a memo out the back door to the CBC to help frame the story in a friendly way. When I applied to the Parliamentary Press Gallery, I was denied. When I attended an event with Trudeau in Meadow Lake, his Media Enforcer, Terry Gullion body checked me to keep me away.

My friends and I are put in dangerous situations, where we risk our safety and freedom all because we are barred from the halls of Parliament.

If ALL media was allowed access in professional and secure settings, we would not have journalists resorting to sidewalk scrums. It is only required because the government makes it so.

If Liberals truly hate how we manage to find them on the street, time and time again and ask them those stinging questions when they are embarrassingly unprepared, they could put a stop to it by allowing us within the halls of Parliament alongside our corporate opponents.

COVID jails legal battle: Rebel News, JCCF suing to end mandatory quarantine programme

COVID jails legal battle: Rebel News, JCCF suing to end mandatory quarantine programme

Today in federal court in Toronto, lawyers for Rebel News, alongside lawyers from the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, are suing the federal government to put an end to Justin Trudeau’s illegal and unconstitutional COVID jail system.

Healthy Canadians arriving by air, who already tested negative for COVID before flying, have been required to quarantine for three days at the cost of thousands of dollars while they await a second PCR test upon landing in Canada. Upon the results of that second PCR test, these healthy COVID-free people are then required to finish out a 14-day quarantine at home.If travellers don’t submit to arbitrary COVID detention, which appears to be up to the discretion of the health agents at the border, or a second COVID test upon arrival, these law-abiding Canadians then face thousands of dollars in fines and possible jail time. Completely healthy people are being arrested, detained and — as we found out today in court — denied the knowledge that they have a right to contact a lawyer, all in the name of “two weeks to flatten the curve.”

That’s exactly what happened to former Rebel News journalist Keean Bexte, who travelled to Florida on assignment for Rebel News. Upon his arrival back in Calgary, Keean was taken to a COVID jail hotel, despite having the ability to quarantine alone, his own mode of transportation to his location of quarantine, and a negative PCR test before he got on his plane back to Canada.

Even worse, these quarantine measures don’t apply to travellers who are arriving back to Canada by land. Apparently, the federal government presumes that so-called variants of concern only travel via airplane. But in fact, the government provided no evidence of the variants of concern entering via plane in their affidavits.

Rebel News
will be following the case over the next three days, providing video updates and live tweeting the proceedings.

Law-abiding Canadian citizens are allowed to travel in and out of our country. They shouldn’t be punished financially by being sent to an overpriced COVID hotel, and denied their liberty and security of person just for trying to come home.

The federal government has limitless resources to fight Rebel News in court, but we think freedom is worth it. We’ve got great lawyers from JSS Barristers working on the case, including Sarah Miller, who is also working on our Charter challenge to the lockdown in Saskatchewan and representing Pastor Artur Pawlowski in Calgary.

Keane Bexte — A Report from One of Justin Trudeau’s COVID Detention Centres

I

Keane Bexte — A Report from One of Justin Trudeau’s COVID Detention CentresI have left the COVID jail, and I recorded the whole thing.

Despite having two days remaining on the room the government forced me to pay for — I got the story I came for, and will not be “enjoying” the rest of my stay.

The conditions Canadians are being forced into in these quarantine facilities are abhorrent. In some cases, citizens are not even given water, or the food provided is barely edible. There have also been allegations of sexual assault in these facilities. Locks have been ripped off of the room doors, meaning that any government or hotel agent could walk into your supposedly private quarters at any time.

The situation is entirely unconstitutional and is a violation of Canadians’ rights on multiple fronts — the most obvious of which is our freedom of mobility. Canadians have a right to enter, leave or stay in Canada at any time for any reason, and the Government of Canada is not allowed to restrict this.

It’s not me saying that — it’s our constitution.

The food and water situations are just the icing on the cake, a cake that Trudeau is going to have to answer for, come the next federal election. The vast majority of the people being forced into these COVID jails are the very individuals who helped Trudeau ride into office, including dual citizens and members of minority groups who have family outside of the country. These people make up a huge segment of the population, and a large part of Trudeau’s voting constituency.https://platform.twitter.com/embed/Tweet.html?dnt=false&embedId=twitter-widget-1&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1365638519344025602&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rebelnews.com%2Fwhats_really_happening_inside_a_quarantine_hotel&siteScreenName=RebelNewsOnline&theme=light&widgetsVersion=e1ffbdb%3A1614796141937&width=550px

Remember when the state media knowingly lied to you, and called any mention of these government sites “misinformation”? They hoped that Rebel News would not continue covering this story. Well, we did, and we blew the top off of it.

No other journalist in the country bothered to look inside these government-occupied compounds — why do you think that is?
