New Billboard: Alberta Premier Jason Kenney has put more pastors in jail than China during the pandemic

New Billboard: Alberta Premier Jason Kenney has put more pastors in jail than China during the pandemic

Things are reopening in Alberta. The economy is picking back up. But we should not forget what was done to civil liberties in the name of public health in Alberta.

It’s awful. But it’s true.

Calgary Pastor Tim Stephens was arrested in front of his crying children for refusing to force his congregation to comply with government COVID rules on places of worship. He was held for weeks. His congregation held services in secret away from the prying eyes of police and health bureaucrats.

Edmonton area Pastor James Coates of GraceLife Church turned himself in and spent 35 days in jail when he ran afoul of public health regulations on places of worship that he said violated the religious freedom of this congregation. The church building itself was confiscated by the province for nearly 3 months and the congregation was forced underground to avoid fines and harassment.

Pastor Artur Pawlowski has been arrested five times. His trouble started when he was feeding the homeless in downtown Calgary and was fined for holding an illegal public gathering. That initial contact with police set off a cascade of events that has seen him slapped with a compelled speech order, a travel ban and serious fines for not limiting church services and allowing inspectors to interrupt prayers.

Artur is currently in jail, the only person ever charged under a law designed to target pipeline bombers and wellhead saboteurs. His crime was offering a sermon to truckers who were blockading the Coutts border.

Things are reopening in Alberta. The economy is picking back up. But we should not forget what was done to civil liberties in the name of public health in Alberta.

That’s why Rebel News has put up a brand new billboard along the side of Highway 2 south of Leduc, Alberta where it will receive 1.3 million monthly impressions. The billboard bears the faces of these arrested pastors.

Our billboard is expensive to maintain, but we think it’s important to not let what happened to these men at the hands of the Alberta government be forgotten.

People’s Party Censored YouTube Globalists, Moves to Rumble & Odyssey Channels

People’s Party Censored YouTube Globalists, Moves to Rumble & Odyssey Channels

Since our founding, the People’s Party has been on YouTube, and I’ve been posting to it for over a decade, back when I was a Cabinet Minister. YouTube is a great way to reach people.

But they’ve gone too far with their censorship.

In the past month, we’ve received two strikes to our channel for promoting what YouTube calls “covid misinformation,” in two videos that were recorded last year.

These were the episodes of the Max Bernier Show where I interviewed Dr. Roger Hodgkinson and Dr. Julie Ponesse. Two serious persons with an interesting viewpoint.

But YouTube simply doesn’t want us to discuss anything that covid fanatics find controversial. So our account has again been frozen for two weeks.

The promise of social media and the internet was that it would give us, the people, freedom to communicate and free access to all types of information.

But now, we seem to be going in the exact opposite direction. Information and knowledge, discussion and debate, these things are being more and more restricted by Big Tech companies.

Viewpoints that threatens the globalist elites’ narrative are actively removed, and dissidents are cancelled.

I’m not going to put up with it anymore. That’s why we’ve decided to move to other platforms.

We will continue to post on YouTube until they decide to cancel us permanently. But we’re moving our main video operations to Rumble.

We’ve removed all of our videos from YouTube. They are now available on our Rumble channel and our Odysee channel.

So I strongly encourage you to follow us on these platforms. They are free-speech alternatives to YouTube.

Rumble is also a Canadian company based in Toronto. So, we’re not only leaving behind censorship; we’re also adopting a homegrown Canadian solution.

Frederick, we constantly need to find new ways to reach out to Canadians with our message of freedom and truth. We also have to pay for ads. — Maxime Bernier

Court Gagged Political Prisoner Receives A Heroes Welcome Home in Medicine Hat

Court Gagged Political Prisoner Receives A Heroes Welcome Home in Medicine Hat
This news is too good not to share with you. Tamara Lich was an everyday Medicine Hat local just a little over a month ago when she departed to Ottawa.

Today, she was welcomed home as a hero. Lich was a personal political prisoner of Trudeau, held without bail for weeks in violation of her Charter rights, all to protect the ego of the most powerful man in the country.

This 5 foot 49-year-old Métis woman brought Trudeau to his knees, sent him into hiding for a week and inspired millions of freedom activists across the globe.

Tamara was the hero we all needed – and the freedom many Canadians are currently enjoying is thanks in large part to the sacrifice Tamara made. Prison is not a nice place to be, but she was hauled away by Trudeau’s agents with her head held high.

You have got to watch our exclusive video of her return here. Medicine Hat came out in force, singing the national anthem, to embrace Tamara upon her return. A real Canadian Heritage Moment that will indeed trigger Trudeau and the CBC.

The government and its media arm want us to believe them when they call Tamara a terrorist. That is why The Counter Signal exists – to fact-check the CBC and share the truth.

There is more work to do, and we are here to help. Keep fighting for what is right,

Ottawa police confirms it’s investigating officers for allegedly supporting ‘Freedom Convoy’

Investigations began during illegal protest’s ‘early days,’ interim chief says

The Ottawa Police Service has confirmed it’s been investigating a small number of officers who may have supported the so-called Freedom Convoy since the early days of the illegal occupation in the downtown core.

Interim Chief Steve Bell told CBC Radio’s Ottawa Morning Thursday the force is committed to scrutinizing the matter fully, and the investigations are ongoing.

“Yes, in early days, we started investigations into individuals who may have been involved. Those will continue. I think it’s really important to note that it’s a very, very small number,” Bell said in response to a question about alleged officer donations.

“We need to deal with the people who supported it, because there’s no room for them, but the vast majority of this organization did everything within their power, in an absolutely professional way, to remove that demonstration from our streets.”

From Bell’s wording, it’s unclear whether the investigations pertain only to possible donations, or whether any officers may have had deeper links to the protest.

At least 6 Ottawa officers in publicly leaked list

Last week, CBC News matched at least two dozen current and former members of the Ottawa Police Service and Ontario Provincial Police with a publicly leaked list of names identified as apparent donors to GiveSendGo, a crowdfunding site that was used to support the weeks-long occupation in Ottawa.

The OPP said it had launched an investigation into alleged officer donations to the convoy, but wouldn’t divulge how many officers were under scrutiny. Ottawa police, meanwhile, wouldn’t confirm whether they were investigating.

After comparing the names of donors living in Ontario to publicly accessible salary disclosure lists of police officers, CBC found roughly 60 people with potential connections to law enforcement based on information they provided to GiveSendGo.

CBC then cross-referenced the information with other publicly available sources such as postal codes, social media accounts and archived news stories, and was able to match at least 26 donors to current and former police members — six with Ottawa police and 20 with the OPP.

For some Ottawa police officers, CBC was able to further confirm their names, and at times their donation amounts, with sources within the force. CBC is not naming the officers because they have not been charged nor disciplined, and none agreed to be on the record.

Their apparent contributions ranged from $50 to more than $1,000 each, and often accompanied a comment.

MEETING PLACE FOR PENTICTON SUPPORTERS

Saturday, March 12 – Meet at 11:30 to show your support for the convoy at the end of the Parkway Channel.  There is lots of parking there immediately west of the bridge. With gas prices climbing, it’s a good place to make new friends, CARPOOL and share the trip costs. If you have ever tubed the channel, you’ll recognize that this is where you get off the rafts. We’ll park there and cheer on the convoy as it goes by, then any who wishes can join the convoy at the end of the line.

Those who can’t make it to the meeting spot can still join the convoy from wherever you have an entry point directly into the shoulder lane so you can avoid having to cross lanes of traffic to join up.

Make as good an estimate as you can of when the convoy might be coming by your chosen resting spot.

We’ll see you on the weekend!

Conservative MP tables Private Member’s Bill (C-257) to address Political Discrimination

Conservative MP tables Private Member’s Bill to address Political Discrimination under the Federal Human Rights Act

Ottawa, ON – Today, Garnett Genuis, Conservative Shadow Minister for International Development, spoke about his Private Member’s Bill, C-257, An Act to amend the Canadian Human Rights Act (protecting against discrimination based on political belief).

Bill C-257 would amend the Canadian Human Rights Act to add “Political Belief” and “Political Activity” to the categories of prohibited grounds for discrimination.

Currently, there are no federal protections against discrimination on the basis of political beliefs or activity. This leaves individuals vulnerable to discrimination, threatening their rights to freedom of speech, and their freedom to be involved in the democratic process without reprisal.

“This Bill is about protecting the rights of individuals – their freedom of speech and their freedom to be involved in the democratic process without facing reprisals. But it is also about realizing the benefits that come with a free democracy and a robust civil society,” said Genuis. “Workers and all Canadians should have their rights protected and should be able to express themselves and involve themselves in the democratic process without fear of political discrimination.”

The Bill would allow exceptions for bona fide occupations regarding occupations where political partisanship or political neutrality are reasonable requirements for employment.

“Canadians must be free to express and act on their political beliefs, within the law and with the protection of the law. They should not face intimidation or discrimination while doing so, by either governments or private employers,” said Genuis. (Press Release from Conservative Party of Canada, March 7, 2022)

This is a positive initiative. Let’s hope that it comes up for second reading. In these vindictive times, such protection would be a positive assist for freedom. The Canadian Human Rights Act covers the federal government, Crown corporations and federally regulated industries like the CBC, rail and train travel.

Freedom Newspaper DRUTHERS’ Bank Account Stolen/Frozen By BMO & the Gov’t

Freedom Newspaper DRUTHERS’ Bank Account Stolen/Frozen By BMO & the Gov’t

Druthers Main Bank Account Still Frozen A big question many have been asking is in regards to our BMO bank account. Yes, our account is still frozen and has been since the day the Emergencies Act was invoked (February 14, 2022). Despite the Emergencies Act being revoked 9 days later and officials stating accounts would be unfrozen, this has not happened for us yet.

We are told the account is still being ‘investigated’. All this came about because we were raising money to help the truckers in Ottawa. We quickly opened a new account with a different bank and all incoming funds are going into the new account which we DO have access to. And while that is helpful, (we still managed to get 250,000 copies of the March issue of Druthers printed and shipped across the country, bringing us to 4 million papers since this project began), the main account being frozen still leaves us in a bit of a pickle.
