The trouble with weather predictions is that we can’t know how accurate they are until they occur.
As it stands, predictions are for rain and snow tonight and most of tomorrow.
How the weather turns out might be worse, or better than predicted, but just in case it’s at its worst, we have asked our guest speaker to rebook her presentation for a future date.
The rally is still on, but we are cautioning that roads might be treacherous, especially because drivers need time to adjust to these weather conditions. The morning will tell.

Perhaps, Kanye hit a sore point. What other minority group would have the clout or nerve to call for a ruinous advertising boycott, having already inflicted great harm on the rapper, designer, turned evangelist Kanye West for merely offering a personal opinion?
“This past Tuesday (November 1, 2022), @Twitter’s new owner @elonmusk met with representatives from U.S civil society organizations, including @JGreenblattADL and @YaelEisenstat. Following that meeting, Musk pledged that “Twitter will continue to combat hate & harassment,” including antisemitism.”
“Since that meeting, Musk permitted @kanyewestto start posting again. From Ye’s “Death Con 3” tweet to @KyrieIrvingpromoting an antisemitic film, we’ve seen celebrities use Twitter to disseminate antisemitic conspiracy theories and hate to tens of millions of followers.”
On Day 16 of the Emergencies Act hearings, the main organizer of the Freedom Convoy Tamara Lich took the stand for the first time since her bail hearing in late July.
Lich was asked about what her life had been like after her arrest in Ottawa on Feb 17.
“I’ve lost my job, I’ve lost my freedom of speech, I’ve lost my freedom to communicate with my friends,” said Lich tearfully.
“I have to be very careful about every move that I make,” she continued. “My trial’s not until next year… I have to live under these conditions for a year.”
That’s the way Canada’s soft tyranny “justice system, silences dissidents. Tamara Lich was arrested for the minor non-violent offence of counselling mischief. Yet, she was jailed for 56 days and twice denied bail. When she finally got bail, her conditions would make Stalin blush. She was completely silenced politically. This gag order may last until her trial which could be many months away.
Her counsel Edmonton lawyer Keith Wilson told Rebel News (October 14, 2022): Her “bail conditions are worse than the conditions, the free speech conditions that [Russian President Vladimir] Putin has put on [Alexei] Navalny, his chief critic. You could interview him in his jail cell in Russia, but you cannot interview, in Trudeau’s Canada, Tamara Lich about the circumstances of her protest!”

The Doctors and their crew came back to Kelowna to stop at the office of Castanet on Monday morning. Their objective was to expose their false allegations in their articles about the Doctors, and to have them interview the Doctors to obtain the truth, including the harm done in the experimental injections.
Spineless cowards in Castanet refused to come out and do an interview, despite being caught on video waving to the Doctors.
I personally called Castanet officials to let them know that these Doctors wished to talk to their reporters. I was rudely told twice that they did not wish to talk to them. Clearly these reporters are wimps and cowards – they will attack people from behind the desk but when it comes to face- to-face meetings, even peaceful ones, they cower under their tables for cover.
A wonderful member of our local rally group contacted Castanet as well. A newsroom official, who declined to release his name provided his lame response was that Castanet reporters would not talk to them because they are not doctors. Dr. Hoffe is presently still licenced to practice medicine in British Columbia. I do not believe Dr. Malthouse is, however, I believe he has simply retired.
The Castanet rep further claimed that people had adverse reactions and were sick before the experimental injections, ignoring of course SADS (sudden adult death syndrome) which has never occurred in the past at all.
Castanet is without doubt one of the most evil, negligent, and gov’t biased reporting services going.
Please call Castanet at 250 420-5575 and demand to know why they continue to write untrue stories about these doctors and others who oppose the gov’t vaccine actions, but refuse to interview them to hear both sides of the story.
We need a truly independent inquiry – not some committee where the arbitrator is appointed and the terms and conditions set out by the Prime Dictator of Canada.

I don’t know about you guys but time seems to be going by at warp speed! And if you’re actively fighting this war, that’s a good thing! If you’re busy doing something, anything, to help expose and share the truth, you are being productive for the cause and you’re making a difference!
Every little thing you do to fight back against the lies and deceit is having a positive effect, even if you can’t see it. Some places like the hospital have not been challenged much and that is why they continue to successfully enforce their anti-health rules. After all, hospitals are “ground zero” for the deceit that fueled the whole plandemic. It’s a tricky place to deal with. I don’t know how any good and decent people are able to continue working there with integrity, but if there are, God bless them. But most doctors and nurses there are now seasoned serial killers. They’ve been getting away with murder while being handsomely compensated for their efforts for almost 3 years now. They have become desensitized to the genocide they are contributing to. Although it’s a waste of time to try and comprehend what kind of beings work in that environment, and getting harder by the day to blame ignorance for their actions, God is clearly more patient and forgiving than us.
Most of us are avoiding the place like the “Death Trap” it is. And the only time one of us might end up in that ominous establishment is if we find ourselves suffering from a serious health crisis or to visit an unfortunate loved one. In the event either situation comes to pass, be prepared. Use the documentation provided by Action4Canada to protect yourself and dig in your heels. These people are bullies whose power comes from your unwillingness to stand up to them. They are on a greed-fueled power trip only because no one has called them out. They know nothing about health. Every experiment conducted in hospitals indicated the transmission of viruses was higher where doctors wore masks during surgery as opposed to those who didn’t. Mask-wearing is nothing more than a cult-based symbol of compliance with zero science to back it up.

While in hospital or a care home, you may need someone to speak on your behalf or vice-versa. Here is a “Representation Agreement” that allows you access to your loved one and gives you authority to make medical decisions on their behalf. This can provide peace-of-mind for anyone who may be incapacitated and need someone to be their “lifeline.”

PROOF: The Royal Bank of Canada rejected our mortgage because we’re conservative
We’ve published recordings of RBC banksters admitting to financial de-platforming. Toronto headquarters stopped our mortgage to purchase a home for freedom-oriented Canadian media, activists, and think tanks. But we’re not letting them win, we need your help to fight back.
I was turned down for a mortgage last week by the Royal Bank.
Rebel News was applying for a commercial mortgage to buy an office building in Calgary — our own place from which we could never be cancelled or de-platformed.
But even though our application was strong — we’re debt-free, thanks to our viewers — the Calgary banker said the head office in Toronto wanted to review it for politics. And because of our “strong opinions” about Trudeau, the Royal Bank decided to block us. Even though I’ve done all my personal banking at that Royal Bank branch for decades.
THE PLAN
We wanted to buy an office building so that we could never be cancelled or deplatformed. And even before we bought it, we were cancelled and deplatformed.
I was so excited about the building.
It was going to be my big New Year’s announcement to our viewers: to tell you about our new office, not just for us at Rebel News, but for all conservatives sick of being deplatformed and cancelled.
And I tell you one more thing: in our building, we certainly wouldn’t be asking people nosy questions about their private medical status in order to work there or visit!
THE BUILDING
The building makes sense in so many ways. Calgary has a 30% office vacancy rate right now — so prices are very affordable.
It’s going to be the Rebel News office. We’ve got six journalists in Calgary now, and we’re growing.
But we don’t need a whole building just for them. Here’s the big idea: we’re also inviting other likeminded conservative and democracy groups to work out of the office building too.
I’ve spent the past few months calling fellow travellers and telling them about it and everyone is pretty excited. For example, our friends at True North have agreed to put their Calgary staff in there too. I’ve talked to five groups that are actively considering it. It’s going to be amazing. I imagine a place not just for established groups but for start-ups, like a Silicon Valley incubator, where conservative activists have a desk, and wifi and a mailing address, to get started.
We’d each have our own offices. But there would be common areas — a lounge area and cafeteria we’d all share; and there would be a big boardroom that any of us could book. And other really useful rooms — like a YouTube studio and a podcasting studio that anyone in the building could use.
The building is pretty big — more than 15,000 square feet. Some space is already rented out, which helps cover the costs, but gives us room to expand in the future. So there’s going to be a lot of space for public gatherings. It’s going to be a place for speakers, for events, for townhall meetings, for book launches, even for conferences.
CO-WORKING
It’s called “co-working” in real estate lingo, but it would be just for people who work in freedom-oriented politics and media and organizing.
And if I had owned it, then it would be un-deplatformable. Maybe that’s why the bank killed it?
I’ve been toying with different names for the building, like the “Freedom Factory” or “The “Centre for Democratic Unity.”
After all, everyone there is working to make our democracy better. And unity — well, imagine all these conservative groups that are splintered right now, coming together under one roof. There’s a lot of splittism in conservative politics right now. How about some common purpose?
Just seeing each other and talking with each other every day in the common areas, or at events, will be amazing. I’ve already recruiting conservative leaders and thinkers for a monthly speakers series in the common areas there — I’ll be sure to invite you. That’s the whole point of this place.
The left has a ton of these buildings, by the way — I actually stumbled into one by accident in Toronto. I couldn’t believe where I found myself: every Tides Foundation and Soros Foundation leftist was hanging out there. Free wifi, a desk, software, other services. But mainly, they were building a sense of community and camaraderie. It was more than just an office; it was a team. They learned from each other, supported each other. And they were winning.
We don’t have anything like that on our side. And it’s time we did.
That’s why this building is so important.
THE PROBLEM
The Royal Bank’s Calgary branch went through our mortgage application with a fine-tooth comb. We showed them everything — our Rebel News financial statements, going back years. My personal finances, because I agreed to personally guarantee the mortgage. We showed them all the details about the office building. We had an independent appraisal done. We even sent over environmental reports and structural inspections.
The Calgary bankers were so impressed that they hopped on a Zoom call with me, and even joked that our application was so strong, they wanted to give Rebel News mortgages for two buildings, not just one!
And right after that call, they sent me an email confirming it. Not only did they agree to a mortgage, but they wanted to offer us a huge line of credit too. I didn’t ask for a line of credit, but that’s how good they felt about Rebel News as a customer.
I was excited.
But then the Royal Bank loans officer who reviewed my application told me my mortgage was only cancelled because Rebel News has the wrong opinions. I recorded that phone call, because it’s too incredible to believe without proof.
It’s an absolute scandal: the Royal Bank has a blacklist of Canadians it considers political enemies.
And Rebel News and I am on that list. (I wonder who else is?)
This office would be a co-working office building for other conservative journalists and political activists. An un-cancellable place for speakers, for events, for town hall meetings, for book launches, even for conferences. That’s why the bank killed it.
It’s a scandal that a chartered bank keeps a blacklist of Trudeau’s political enemies. But you know the saying: don’t get mad, don’t get even, get ahead. Let’s use this setback to actually buy the building ourselves, without Trudeau’s bank involved.
THE SOLUTION (WILL YOU HELP?)
So, what do I do? I know what other media companies would do — they’d ask for a bail-out from Trudeau. But we’d have to give up our “strong opinions” and be obedient to him. Never.
(Here’s a longshot: if you or someone you know is in a position to replace the Royal Bank’s mortgage — or even a chunk of it, please tell me. If you’re a serious real estate lender or investor who doesn’t discriminate against conservatives, I’ll show you the mortgage application I gave to the Royal Bank. Please send me an email to ezra@rebelnews.com if you are in a position to lend us the money, secured against the building, and if you think a mortgage rate of 5% is a good rate of return.)
So maybe a miracle will happen, and an angel investor will give us the mortgage that the Royal Bank won’t. But I’m not counting on it.
So, let’s see if we can do it ourselves.
Many hands make light work. Let’s crowdfund it — a permanent home for Rebel News and for other conservative groups. An uncancellable venue for events and a home for conservative and freedom-oriented media, think tanks and activists alike.
Brick by brick we’ll buy this place. And instead of owing money to the bank, we’ll own it outright. And if we do, we can make it available to whomever we choose — not to whomever Trudeau or his bankers choose. Instead of having a liability, let’s have an asset, and use it to build our movement.
I am completely committed. I know our team is. I know other conservative groups are excited about this, too. Will you help us, please? Or will you let Trudeau and his friends at the Royal Bank blacklist us?

Cash has all but disappeared from being used in everyday, over-the-counter transactions, and much of that is thanks to the pandemic. COVID-19 created a perfect storm for the demise of cash, mixing uncertainty about the vector of the virus’s transmission — did it stick to money? — with people simply wanting to avoid unnecessary physical contact with strangers. In the fallout, many outlets switched to a debit- or credit-only model that largely lingers today. (I note this choice seems to conveniently discount the germs that can accrue on a PIN pad.)

The Bank of Canada has clarified that it is not mandatory for Canadian businesses to accept cash. But maybe it should be. The general elimination of cash as a payment option creates new problems for small businesses and consumers alike.

So far, we have left it up to businesses to decide what modes of payment they will accept. Small businesses must negotiate across various payment processors such as Moneris, Block Inc.’s Square, Stripe Inc., and generally grapple with the market power of credit card companies Visa Inc. and Mastercard Inc., which are now downloading their service (“swipe”) fees to shoppers and becoming more expensive to use. Cashless systems make it easier to keep track of accounts in a digital-first environment, but maintaining the ability to transact with cash is a good backup option for merchants still vulnerable to Black Swan events, like this summer’s Rogers Communications Inc. outage that cost small businesses thousands of dollars.
Allowing businesses to ban the use of cash also has negative consequences for some shoppers, who may prefer to use paper money for budgeting purposes, as many seniors do, or who don’t have a connection to a bank. ACORN Canada estimates that around three per cent of Canadians — close to one million people — are unbanked. There’s also a subset of shoppers who simply prefer to be as free as possible from the mundane surveillance of payment providers, as credit card companies track shoppers like never before.
Locking out cash options fundamentally benefits credit card companies, which charge retailers hefty fees every time a customer uses a card. And though a 2017 survey from the Bank of Canada indicated that Canadians were shifting away from cash, it also said cash was used about one-third of the time.
In the United States, there have been some municipal and state-led legislative interventions to protect unbanked customers who rely on paper money, with such bills generally passing in Democratic jurisdictions. In May of this year the U.S. House Committee on Financial Services passed the Payment Choice Act of 2022, a bill designed to protect the right of consumers to pay with cash at brick-and-mortar retailers. The legislation would require retail businesses to accept bills and coins for transactions of less than $2,000 and prohibit them from charging cash-paying customers a higher price than those paying with debt or credit.
Legislation is helpful to protect consumer choice. As it stands, banks may be incentivized to encourage consumers to pay with alternative mediums because they disproportionately bear the costs of transacting in cash, according to a recent Bank of Canada report. Such a scheme ignores consumers at the margins who have good reasons to use cash, and whose interests the incentive structure is therefore neglecting.
Of course, using cash makes little sense in an e-commerce context, where there are newer options for consumers alongside credit or debit payments, such as buy-now-pay-later plans that empower shoppers to bypass credit cards entirely. But there are still plenty of transactions that happen face-to-face where a paper money option would be welcome by many.
Ultimately, the battle to maintain the option of cash is emblematic of the tension regulators face between favouring businesses’ freedom to accept or reject a payment method and privileging consumers’ right to choose across a suite of legitimate options. Introducing legislation that guarantees people the ability to choose to pay with cash would signal a citizen-centric approach to business regulation. Facilitating a cash-free world is exclusionary and unnecessary.
Given that consumers are getting their butts kicked by high inflation, it would be a positive step for financial inclusion in the economy if the state signalled it could act as an intermediary between them and businesses. Provinces could give people the right to pay in cash alongside a debit or credit option as part of their consumer protection legislation — a simple way for Conservative premiers to demonstrate their stated commitment to making Canadians more “free.”
