I have sent in a letter as follows:
Re “Hamilton’s mayor angered by rude ‘wake up’ from protesters at home” (Fatima Texiwala, June 28): I find Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger’s anger over LGBTQ-leftist demonstrators marching on his front lawn and “banging on my door” rather amusing, bearing in mind he and Hamilton Council’s recent efforts to find legal ways to prevent the “Yellow Vests” from demonstrating on the City Square, as in the CBC report that “Hamilton’s city manager says she’ll report back on the legalities of allowing some groups and not others” (*). At least the Yellow Vests use public property to demonstrate on, not Eisenberger’s private property! Maybe he should consider where the real threats are coming from.
I doubt it will be published, but what the heck…
