Hi this is James Patrick, bringing you an update on the Trucker Convoys of Canada and the US.
As many of you know a peaceful convoy of truckers descended upon Ottawa to protest the vaccine mandate in Canada. Truckers who have to drive goods back and forth over the US / Canadian boarder were required to be vaccinated or loose their livelihoods.
One particularly insane edict issued by Canada last year mandated that by November 30th, a Canadian had to be vaccinated to EXIT Canada! Trapped in their own country like in the Soviet Union, vaccination proof was required to enter a bus, train, plane and Canadian boarder guards require vaccine proof to drive out of Canada, their supposedly free country! As a result central American countries like Mexico and Nicaragua were innundated with Canadians that fled their country to before November 30th, 2021. What has the world come to that we have vaccine refugees! And why is the media praising such authoritarian madness? People need to wake up and stop complying immediately or the actions of those running the show will only get more brazen and murderous.
So back to the Truckers. The convoy arrived to Ottawa, Trudeau disappeared for 5 or more days with memes swirling making fun of him. He refused to even meet and discuss anything with the Truckers and slandered them as racists, misogynists and bigots. As a side note: this has become too often today, people blocking one another and not dealing with each other face to face due to cell phones and social media. It’s so important to deal with one another and grow from the challenges it brings. We don’t grow unless we face our fears!
After a week Trudeau called for an end to the protests and after two weeks he declared a state of national emergency and called in the thugs to put an end to the protests. Police and what looked like mercenaries descended upon the peaceful protests and conducted mass arrests. Most of the trucks were stolen from the truckers and the mayor of Ottawa announced they would be auctioning off the trucks to pay the city’s expenses the shutdown caused. So the city racks up bills and blames the truckers for shutting down the city around the Parliament building? What about all the bankruptcies caused by the unending covid restrictions? Can government vehicles be stolen and auctioned off to pay for all the loss of livelihoods that caused? Not a chance.
The Canadian federal government went further and froze bank accounts of the truckers. 39 Canadian truck companies involved with the protests were shut down and those who donated through GoFundMe were warned that they would be investigated for funding terrorism. The $8M donated through the site was frozen and GoFundMe said it would donate the funds to different charities and later backtracked and returned the money to the donors. What Cowards! Planet Lockdown also had our GoFundMe closed back in early 2021 after a month of operations. $8,000 was donated until we had our account closed with no reason at all was given. We just received some amorphous message. Most of these tech companies are just cowards. They politicize everything and stand for nothing but false mottos. It’s times like these that real brave men and women shine while those that go along with the narrative prove their spineless servitude to evil.
While all this was going down a US trucker convoy was forming called the Freedom Convoy. They vowed to descend on Washington DC and lock it down. Over a two week period they crossed the country and got closer to DC. They noticed that advanced military surveillance aircraft was following the convoy across the country, which is a total violation of posse comitatus, utilizing military measures against the domestic population. The US Freedom Convoy saw the chaos and confiscation of trucks that occurred in Canada and worried the same would occur to their convoy so decided upon a different strategy. They encamped 90 minutes outside of the city in Hagerstown Maryland at the Speedway and had many discussions with law enforcement to make sure they wouldn’t run afoul of the law. They were told if they entered DC they would all be arrested so the decided to not enter the city, but circle the beltway everyday, driving the slowest legal speed limit. The police have responded by closing exits around the capitol building which caused intense traffic as well. They just departed DC on their way to California to oppose one of the harshest covid bills proposed that would strip us of all freedoms. Their press release is attached.

Update on Adamson Legal Defence Fund — $325,496 Donated by Sunday, December 6, 2020h
Good afternoon!
As you can see by the latest update, Adam has now taken ownership of the GoFundMe account, enabling me to back away.
This could not have come at a better time as I am out of the country now and accessing internet to provide the updates is not conventionally reliable.
All good things must come to an end and our GoFundMe effort is no exception.
So, I have set a date of December 19 to close out the GoFundMe effort.
This platform is not a perpetual hosting service and I think we can all agree that our campaign underpromised and more than overdelivered on the fundraising front.
The rest is up to Adam and his attorneys.
As you know, our initial campaign goal was $10,000. This number was chosen to present an achievable figure.
Once we had exceeded $290,000 I then set a “stretch target”— a target that, if achieved, would blow opponents out of the water and send an unmistakable message to our politicians that small business owners are sick and tired of being screwed.
Well, donations have slowed and we may not reach that full $350,000 stretch target.
But that’s ok.
In just one day last week, you all gave that one final push and brought us up more than $30,000!
Thanks to you, Adam should now have enough money to take this fight, if necessary, right to the Supreme court.
You should all be very proud.
I know that I am.
I am also extremely thankful to all of you for answering the call of an old political hack like me to help a fellow out who is fighting the good fight for every single one of us.

And thank you for your good faith that the funds would be used as intended.
As you have all heard from Adam personally, the funds are going into a legal trust to support this battle for equal treatment of all businesses under the law.

Well, here we are at $303,000!
Thank you sincerely for all that you have done to make this effort a success.
Now, over the past days, I have been asked to comment on various rumours and perceived controversies.
Well, I won’t do it.
From the beginning I have asked you to fund the fight to challenge asymmetric COVID regulations in the courts.
I have asked you to do that by contributing to the Adamson BBQ Legal Defence Fund.
And you have all responded in kind.
Today I want to stand by that ask.
And thank all of you for your extremely generous support, with the utmost sincerity.
During my career, I have found myself outside the good graces of the compact majority.
Not often, but enough for it to matter.
It is the nature of having a successful career in politics and policy. Well, any successful career really.
I have been the subject of rumours, media scrutiny and even legal claims that were, at the end of the day, exposed as utter bullshit and were withdrawn without prejudice.
But not before they took their toll on my interpersonal relationships with my children, my spouse, my friends, my colleagues and my clients.
And I will never use any platform to do that to another man.
Nor will I use any platform to perpetuate those claims.
Why? Because at the end of the day, they exist to weaken our resolve and encourage us to just give up.
Public relations is war. Right now, we are engaged in a war with the most powerful adversary there is— government.
This is an institution with the power to use our own money against us.
So today I want to express to you all that I stand by Adam in his fight for the fair treatment of small business.
Really, if we do not have the courage to stand by our convictions when the going gets tough, then we have no business in the fight.
I will be ceasing the campaign within the next week.
Before I do, I would really love for us to hit that $350,000 target.
This is going to be a tough battle and I would hate to see it stall out for lack of resources.

If you have been following the news you have most likely heard of this self-righteous bro who owns a bbq joint in Etobicoke that is going against the provincial government’s mandates to protect the people. Whether you agree with these mandates or not, he is putting the lives of others at risk and selfishly breaking the law in order to gain fame and attention. This has led to him being arrested and charged, as well as tax payers money being wasted in the fight against his nonsense.
Now a third party (who does not know this man) has gotten involved and set up a GoFundMe to raise money for him so that he can fight the charges against him – which is nearing a quarter of a million dollars!
This is not right and I am asking GoFundMe to reevaluate what it’s platform should and should not be used for and to remove this so called “fundraiser” immediately. It’s setting a bad precedent for others, and giving money to a “rich kid” instead of to people and small businesses who actually need it.
He has made decisions in which he knew there would be consequences – and he should pay for them himself!
It is important to also note that this guy is not the “small business working-class hero” that he is trying to portray himself as. He is a white privileged anti-masker conspiracy theorist who comes from money and is known in Toronto for being an “attention seeker”. Earlier this year he was called out by the media after he had a public meltdown on Twitter over the Covid-19 pandemic and repeatedly referred to others as the R word.

So I spoke to Adam last night while I was at the airport on my way home. He wanted me to thank all of you for your very generous support.
And, while he cannot post on social media, his lovely wife Allison can.
On that connection, we will be adding her name to the Fundraising Team so that she may take over the daily updates to all of you going forward.
It is important that you hear the day-to-day activities straight from the family.
A few lawyers have also estimated what it would take to bring this case to the Supreme Court and ensure that it didn’t bankrupt Adam in the process.
We have therefore set the final goal of this GoFundMe to $350,000. With your ongoing support, there is little doubt we will reach this goal.

Once the Adamson BBQ Legal Defence Fund hits that magic number, we will close the campaign down.

This campaign has never been about the existence of COVID measures but the asymmetric way they treat big business and the little guy.
In short, governments have been frozen into inaction and have ceded control of this country’s greatest crisis to unelected, unaccountable health care bureaucrats.
These are folks who don’t have to face the voter, have no skin in the game and, with the loosening of federal and provincial fiscal checks and balances, unlimited funds.
Hand anyone with no skin in the game the lever of power, an unlimited budget and no concrete strategy and where is the incentive for all of this to end?
In public policy we call this a perverse incentive. They create a mish-mash of conflicting policy responses that serve no real purpose other than to prolong the crisis and hurt everyday Canadians.
Why? Because small business and the everyday worker can’t afford the expensive lobbyists that the big-box stores can. And the government’s policy response reflects that.
Big corporations have the resources to reach government and get these silly policies tweaked.
Thus we have Walmarts open while the family owned small business down the street is forced to pivot to pick-up or deliveries without the regular income available to scale it up to affordable levels.
Is that fair and equal treatment under the law?
Is it constitutional? Does some junior public servant at the municipal level have the right to lock a landowner or businessman out of his own property? Or force them to make their body and private health care records available with no evidence of a serious crime?
That’s where the Adamson BBQ Legal Defense Fund can play a meaningful role.
By putting these key legal questions before the courts, they can create order out of chaos and a sense of empowerment for the little guy.
And, ideally, they force a more reasoned and balanced approach to policies intended to keep people safe.
Anyway, that is what this effort hopes to change.
Political leaders have to lead, not just hand some poor public servant the file, an unlimited budget and hide behind them until the storm passes.
Because when this house of cards comes crashing down- and it will, who’s going to lose their job? It won’t be the elected fellas.
