Whatcott rejected by Alberta Human Rights Commission, Bike Edmonton, and even the occasional Christian, but accepted at Sean Feucht Concert

Dear Friends,

Yesterday was a profound day. I headed to Edmonton and went to the Sean Feucht revival at the legislature grounds in downtown Edmonton.

This picture above is my favourite picture that I took at the concert/revival.

Me with my sign. Behind me is Sean Feucht on the stage singing Gospel music and delivering his message of revival and standing for Christ in a sometimes hostile culture.

Towards the end of the revival a friend who I met at the concert took my sign to hold it up after I got tired and sat down.

Towards the end Sean Feucht lead a communion service. To my surprise he referred to Holy Communion as a sacrament, rather than merely an ordinance. On this point I agree with Sean Feucht. It is clear to me in Scripture that God instituted Holy Communion and it is more than merely an ordinance. Holy Communion has sacramental qualities.

“For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when He was betrayed took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”In the same way also He took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.

Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and blood of the Lord. Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup.For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself. ” 1 Corinthians 11:23-29

After communion there was an altar call. The altar experience for me was surreal. Notwithstanding my smile in the above pictures, this past week I have been going through some emotional pain. I don’t believe men should be overly emotional/feminine, crying over every slight or disappointment. I have had some big losses recently, but was keeping things together when I went forward. While not the theme, Sean Feucht did mention in passing that God heals rejection and I was pondering that in regards to my past week experiences while at the altar. While pondering and hurting over this week’s events, a man who was a friend of mine for years, but ghosted me 3 years ago after a family member of his and one of his friends took advantage of me for thousands of dollars. This man walked by me and after praying for someone beside me, decided to pray over me.

The combination of my recent pain and then having this guy lay his hands on me was too much. I broke down as the inner pain was too severe. I don’t think the fellow knew what to do. He hugged me for a moment and then said “God bless you” and quickly moved on. I didn’t feel like being a spectacle at the altar so I composed myself and headed back into the crowd. The attendance appeared to be at least a couple thousand people at the concert, so it was easy to blend in the crowd.

Anyways, I also got the news below this week. No surprise. Alberta’s bureaucracy is almost as badly effected with homosexual activism and anti-Christian antipathy as any other province. Daniel Smith supports homosexual marriage and homosexual rights. She is also more tolerant of Christians, as evidenced by her government’s refusal to cancel Sean Feucht. But bureacracies like the Alberta Human Rights Commission (AHRC) are operating much as they did under Rachel Notley’s NDP government and the agenda of the AHRC is no different than the agenda of the Ontario Human Rights Commission or the British Columbia Human Rights Commission.

Anyways, for those not familiar with the complaint here is the video of Bike Edmonton kicking me out of their store. This is about as discriminatory and fitting of what a Human Rights Commission would allegedly deal with as it gets.

As believers who follow Jesus and who are called to defend God’s definition of marriage and sexuality, I would encourage you to not be surprised or disheartened when you experience double standards and mistreatment. Even when it is one of your “conservative” government agencies doing it. Such was the case for those who followed Christ before us.

“Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated—of whom the world was not worthy—wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

And all these, though commended through their faith, did not receive what was promised, since God had provided something better for us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect.” Hebrews 11:36-40

Alberta NDP Leader Rachel Notley Wants Premier Smith to Expel an MLA From the United Conservative Caucus for Attending Pro-Family Rally

[Alberta has just seen cancel culture at its craziest. The leader of the oppostion NDP has demanded that Premier Danielle Smith expel “Alberta NDP leader Rachel Notley said United Conservative Party MLA Jason Stephan (Red Deer-South) should be kicked out of caucus for going to the One Million March for Children.

“Shouldn’t be anywhere near the caucus,” said Notley at a Thursday press conference.

“Long since should have been kicked out.”

One might as what business is it of nosy Notley who sits in another party’s caucus?

Stephan said at the One Million March for Children in Red Deer on Wednesday, governments and school boards are making gross mistakes with blanket rules based on rare exceptions, especially when it means keeping secrets from parents.

“It’s a very serious manner for government to interpose themselves between families and children,” said Stephan.

Alberta NDP leader Rachel Notley said United Conservative Party MLA Jason Stephan (Red Deer-South) should be kicked out of caucus for going to the One Million March for Children.

“Shouldn’t be anywhere near the caucus,” said Notley at a Thursday press conference.

“Long since should have been kicked out.”

“Parents have a sacred, moral duty to their children that pre-exists government.”

Notley said Stephan’s removal should “have been the first thing the premier said this morning.”

To all of the sexual minorities in Alberta, she said they are loved, respected and their human rights are as important as everyone else’s. She added there are many people who will fight hard to ensure that never changes.

When she watched a video from a child at one of the rallies making hateful comments, she said it broke her heart. While children are not born with hate in their heart, a person convinced this child to spew hate.

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith did not condemn these comments. Notley called it “one of the most profound failures in leadership that I’ve ever seen.”

She concluded by saying this hate must be condemned.

“And the fact that the premier is normalizing it by allowing one of her caucus members to participate in this is appalling,” she said.

Thought Control Forces Lose One: Professor Tony Hall Returns to U of Lethbridge

Thought Control Forces Lose One: Professor Tony Hall Returns to U of Lethbridge

On November 22, we got good news. Professor Tony Hall of the University of Lethbridge was back in the classroom. Changes in provincial law — yes, Rachel Notley has managed to do one thing right — forced the university to cancel its suspension and  BANNING from, campus of Professor Hall. He had criticized Zionism and insisted that there should be open debate on the holocaust. B’nai Brith, one of Canada’s most strident anti-free speech group, howled and Tony Hall, a tenured professor, was banned from campus last year and faces charges before the Alberta Human Rights Commission. CAFE wrote a number of letters supporting him and I know many of you did too.

The Canadian Press (November 22, 2017) reported: “A professor accused of espousing anti-Semitic views has been reinstated at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta. The university confirmed in an e-mail Thursday that Anthony Hall is no longer suspended, but wouldn’t comment further. … Hall, a tenured professor who has taught Native American studies, liberal education and globalization over his 26 years at the university, was suspended in October 2016 following comments he made in online articles and videos suggesting there was a Zionist connection to the 9/11 attacks and that the events of the Holocaust should be up for debate. He maintains the issue is academic freedom and that he should be allowed to promote his work as he sees fit.”

B’nai Brith threw a hissy fit in an extravagant press release: ” B’nai Brith Canada is outraged that Professor Anthony Hall has returned to work at the University of Lethbridge, after he was suspended for promoting antisemitism in October of 2016. Hall’s return was facilitated by Alberta Premier Rachel Notley’s NDP Government, which passed two bills in mid-2017 that strengthened the position of Hall’s faculty association. In August, the Government even took the rare step of launching a direct legal intervention that aided Hall, and eventually prompted a labour arbitrator to order him back to work in November. …

‘Premier Notley and her Government bear direct responsibility for placing a discredited conspiracy theorist back in a university classroom,’ said Michael Mostyn, Chief Executive Officer of B’nai Brith Canada. “We repeatedly warned the Government of the likely outcome of its actions, but they sadly chose to ignore our warnings and expose Alberta university students to antisemitism and discrimination instead. … Hall came under fire for teaching students that Israel was responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, and for producing Holocaust denial videos with German-Canadian …  Alfred Schaefer.

Hall became the centre of a national controversy after his Facebook friend posted an image calling to “KILL ALL JEWS NOW!” on his Facebook wall.” [The outrageous posting was actually posted on Professor Hall’s Facebook by an American Jewish hacker and, in no way, reflects the longtime schilar’s opinions.]
