Former Political Prisoner Brad Love Harassed Again & Arrested by RCMP
FORT MCMURRAY. Brad Love is back in jail, specifically at the Edmonton Remand Centre. The former political prisoner is a victim of ongoing RCMP harassment. On May 13, still half dressed Brad Love answered urgent knocking on his door in Fort McMurray. On identifying himself, the police told Mr..Love he was under arrest and snapped the handcuffs on. He asked if he could retrieve his pants. He was told no.
The charge? Apparently, breach of probation. Why? It was alleged that he had been seen standing on someone’s property and using a stick to hit a surveillance camera.Mr. Love forcefully denied the charges, saying he had bus transfers showing he was nowhere near the site of the alleged strange behaviour. The police ignored him. He was taken to the local RCMP station and held overnight in a holding cell. He slept of the floor without a blanket. The next day, he was moved to a regular cell and held for four days, denied a shower or tooth brush.
At a video bail hearing, Mr. Love says the police lied stating he told them: “I live to fuck with the Canadian government.” That was enough for the JP. Mr. Love was denied bail. Firstly, Mr. Love denies saying any such thing. Even if he had, vulgar as the sentiment might be, it’s non-violent, an expression of opinion. Mr. Love has no history of skipping court appearances.

After the five hour trip to the Edmonton Remand Centre, Mr. Love and several other prisoners, a dozen in total, were told there was no room for them. They were kept overnight in a crowded holding area.
Mr. Love has now retained a lawyer to seek bail.’
Over 20 years ago Mr. Love was charged under Canada’s notorious “hate” law for sending strongly worded letters to a number of MPs critical of Canada’s immigration system. He was sentenced to 18 months. He should never have been charged as the letters were private communications to which the “hate law” does not apply.
Petty violations of parole conditions after his release resulted in many more months in prison over the next decade. Fort McMurray is awash in drugs. Drunken Indians frequently litter the sidewalks. Indians, many Third World newcomers, and White drug addicts don’t pay fares on the buses. The RCMP turns a blind eye.Violent gunmen, villains who stab others and other violent miscreants frequently are granted bail in Canada’s deeplyu corrupt and politicized judicial system. but Mr. Love, accused of minor non-violent strange behaviour, is kept in prison.
In Canada, violent behaviour that harms others is treated leniently, but people with “bad ideas” are treated harshly. Sounds like the old Soviet Union.
