Freedom Newspaper DRUTHERS’ Bank Account Stolen/Frozen By BMO & the Gov’t
Druthers Main Bank Account Still Frozen A big question many have been asking is in regards to our BMO bank account. Yes, our account is still frozen and has been since the day the Emergencies Act was invoked (February 14, 2022). Despite the Emergencies Act being revoked 9 days later and officials stating accounts would be unfrozen, this has not happened for us yet.
We are told the account is still being ‘investigated’. All this came about because we were raising money to help the truckers in Ottawa. We quickly opened a new account with a different bank and all incoming funds are going into the new account which we DO have access to. And while that is helpful, (we still managed to get 250,000 copies of the March issue of Druthers printed and shipped across the country, bringing us to 4 million papers since this project began), the main account being frozen still leaves us in a bit of a pickle. |
