As expected, it was adjourned to July 22, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. to await the outcome of the sentencing hearing in the Provincial Court. Crown Persecutor Grabavac, appearing on another matter as well, referred to one judge as &#8220;the old judge&#8221;! This really caught the judge&#8217;s attention today, and he rhetorically said: &#8220;You&#8217;re saying the old judge&#8221;, which resulted in a lot of snickers amongst the public and other lawyers. Grabavac had to immediately back track and clarify he did not mean what he said. Interesting judge today for sure. I suspect on July 22, that we will discuss when to hear my Jordan (delay) appeal first and set a hearing date for that appeal. Keeping you updated as we move along.
