La culture woke \u2013 nous en parlons souvent\u2013 est la version \u00ab \u00e0 la mode \u00bb
de la rectitude politique \u00e0 la sauce stalinienne. Comme il est consid\u00e9r\u00e9
comme pass\u00e9iste de r\u00e9clamer le goulag pour les opposants, on impose
plut\u00f4t la \u00ab cancel culture \u00bb, terme \u00ab globish \u00bb \u00e0 la mode cachant une
r\u00e9alit\u00e9 nettement plus sombre. Que cette vision s\u00e9duise la gauche au
sens large, on le comprend. Rare sont ceux qui veulent r\u00e9ellement
prot\u00e9ger la libert\u00e9 d\u2019expression de leurs ennemis; alors on approuve
plus ou moins tacitement, on d\u00e9nonce ici et l\u00e0 les exc\u00e8s quand ils
frappent un des n\u00f4tres sans raison, mais au final, la gauche aime bien
ce pouvoir d\u00e9bord\u00e9 qui lui permet en jetant une fatwah d\u2019effacer ni plus
ni moins l\u2019ennemi potentiel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ce qui est plus difficile \u00e0 comprendre, c\u2019est pourquoi la droite
commence \u00e0 adh\u00e9rer \u00e0 la culture woke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Le 18 janvier, le Canada apprenait avec stupeur que l\u2019un des candidats \u00e0
la chefferie conservatrice, Derek Sloan, avait re\u00e7u un ch\u00e8que de 131$ du
\u00ab supr\u00e9matiste blanc \u00bb Paul Fromm. Dans les heures qui suivaient, Sloan
\u00e9tait \u00e9ject\u00e9 manu militari de Parti conservateur, sans pouvoir r\u00e9pondre
de ces accusations (mais au fait de quoi l\u2019accuse-t-on vraiment?).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pour comprendre l\u2019affaire, il faut d\u2019abord savoir qui est Derek Sloan,
qui est Paul Fromm, et en quoi 131$ repr\u00e9sente un enjeu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
D\u2019abord, Derek Sloan fut le candidat le plus \u00e0 droite de la campagne
conservatrice, le seul \u00e0 \u00eatre ouvertement oppos\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019avortement, le seul
\u00e0 \u00eatre pour une droite morale et le seul \u00e0 \u00eatre en faveur de la libert\u00e9
d\u2019expression. Et justement, Paul Fromm est le directeur du Canadian
Association for Free Expression, une organisation bas\u00e9e sur la d\u00e9fense
de la libert\u00e9 d\u2019expression. On peut ais\u00e9ment comprendre pourquoi ce
dernier a jug\u00e9 bon de faire un don \u00e0 la campagne de Sloan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seulement, on reproche \u00e0 Fromm, qui est aussi un farouche opposant \u00e0
l\u2019immigration de masse, de d\u00e9fendre la libert\u00e9 d\u2019expression de tous, ce
qui n\u2019est pas convenable dans notre soci\u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s \u00ab Charlie \u00bb, pas ni \u00ab
Soral \u00bb, ni \u00ab Ryssen \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bref, on assiste \u00e0 une double association douteuse : Fromm d\u00e9fend la
libert\u00e9 de ceux qui sont bafou\u00e9s; il donne de l\u2019argent \u00e0 Sloan, donc
Sloan est un nazi. Bingo! Il a fallu quelques heures, voire quelques
minutes au Conservateur Erin O\u2019Toole pour conclure sur cette affaire.
Mais la somme aussi repr\u00e9sente un certain int\u00e9r\u00eat. En acceptant une
somme d\u2019un homme, on estime que le politicien est li\u00e9 \u00e0 ce dernier.
Peut-\u00eatre m\u00eame qu\u2019il lui doit quelque chose. C\u2019est ce que les
journalistes et O\u2019Toole semble croire du moins. Et, conscients de ce que
valent les politiciens \u00e0 l\u2019heure actuelle, ils semblent enclins \u00e0 croire
que la somme de 131$ est suffisante pour acheter un d\u00e9put\u00e9 \u00e0 Ottawa!
Il faut croire que la famille Rizzuto qui a \u00ab investi \u00bb des milliers de
dollars dans le Parti lib\u00e9ral du Qu\u00e9bec depuis des ann\u00e9es aurait d\u00fb
investir \u00e0 Ottawa et profiter des aubaines ontariennes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Au-del\u00e0 de ces r\u00e9flexions sur l\u2019\u00e9thique et la corruption que soul\u00e8vent
in\u00e9vitablement cette histoire de 131$, il reste que cela nous prouve une
\u00e9ni\u00e8me fois le manque de clairvoyance et d\u2019\u00e9pine dorsale du clan
conservateur. Les strat\u00e8ges conservateurs semblent passer trop de temps
\u00e0 \u00e9couter la CBC : ils ne r\u00e9alisent pas que les d\u00e9lires woke sont
minoritaires et qu\u2019il n\u2019y a rien \u00e0 gagner \u00e0 jouer contre son propre
camp. Que CBC fasse du 131$ l\u2019affaire du si\u00e8cle, c\u2019est normal, et c\u2019est
m\u00eame une preuve qu\u2019on d\u00e9range un peu. Un candidat conservateur, un parti conservateur, un homme de droite, ne doit pas chercher \u00e0 obtenir
l\u2019assentiment du principal organe de gauche au pays. En cela, les
conservateurs devraient regarder ce qui se passe \u00e0 gauche. Personne \u00e0
l\u2019UQAM ne recherche le sceau d\u2019approbation de l\u2019Institut \u00e9conomique de
Montr\u00e9al et Manon Mass\u00e9 n\u2019a jamais expuls\u00e9 personne de son parti pour
plaire \u00e0 Richard Martineau ou Joseph Facal. \u00c7a, tout le monde le
comprend et l\u2019accepte. Alors pourquoi l\u2019oppos\u00e9 n\u2019est-il pas vrai?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ceux qui connaissent l\u2019expression \u00ab cuckservatives \u00bb ou \u00ab cocuservateurs
\u00bb pour les besoins de la francisation, savent pertinemment pourquoi
O\u2019Toole agit ainsi. Pourquoi avant sa d\u00e9mission \u00ab choc \u00bb Andrew Scheer
refusait de parler de ses id\u00e9es. Pourquoi l\u2019ancien homme fort de la
droite Stockwell Day d\u00e9cida de d\u00e9vouer sa vie \u00e0 la lutte contre le
racisme, d\u00e9missionnant de toutes ses fonctions pour avoir \u00ab ni\u00e9 \u00bb le
racisme syst\u00e9mique. Pourquoi le Parti conservateur a \u00e9ject\u00e9 Richard

La v\u00e9ritable question n\u2019est pas pourquoi cette fausse droite agit ainsi
\u2013 elle n\u2019a pas le courage de ses convictions et la vision n\u00e9cessaire

That CBC is making $ 131 the deal of the century is okay, and it is even a bit of a disturbing proof. A conservative candidate, a party conservative, a man of the right, should not seek to obtain the approval of the main left body in the country. In this, the conservatives should watch what is happening on the left.
