Here are the fines people could face for violating Ontario\u2019s coronavirus shutdown laws Ontario entered a provincewide shutdown on Saturday in a bid to slow the spread of COVID-19<\/a>. A ban on outdoor social gatherings of more than 10 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n The closure or limitation on operations of some businesses, including\n the closure of personal care services, limitation on retail sales, and \nrestricting restaurants and bars to take-out, delivery, or drive-thru \nservices only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The restrictions are expected to be locally \nadjusted as regions move out of lockdown next month and the province \nmoves back to its colour-coded response framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depending on \nthe violation of an emergency order and the discretion of an officer who\n observes an offence, the type of charge laid as well as the resulting \nfine can vary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
