We will likely never know the real reason why District Judge Snow \ninstructed that my latest trial, originally scheduled to take place \nMarch 30 and 31 at Hendon Magistrates, has now been transferred back to \nWestminster Magistrates Court.

Prior to reversing the choice of venue, the judge was clearly at \npains to avoid any repetition of the \u201cprocedural nightmare\u201d instigated \nby my first trial (which lasted from December 2016 to June 2018, \nfollowed by the hullabaloo with probation, including a short spell in \njail, later overturned on Appeal, all for composing and performing \nsatirical songs that were uploaded to the Internet, and that were deemed\n by the same court to be \u201cgrossly offensive\u201d). In all, I was in the dock\n for less than an hour, then invited to sit in court whilst complex \ndirectives for what is to come next were set out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBlogger\u201d, \u201cmusic teacher\u201d, \u201cnotorious\u201d whatever\u2026 The inaccuracies \n(and indeed one particular sentence that is clearly contempt of court) \nare once again too numerous to mention. Likewise, my bail conditions \nprevent me from defending myself against the slurs and general character\n assassination. 

As for the po-faced band of \u201ccharitable\u201d \nInquisitors still pushing for my further persecution and prosecution, \nthey are now demanding \u201ca sentence with real teeth.\u201d

As Mr Millard notes in his most recent blog post, of relevance to my latest case is Thursday\u2019s announcement concerning the Court of Appeal ruling on the \u201cright to offend\u201d<\/a>.\n In light of this legal precedent, if my trial does go ahead, at least \nwe will be safe in the knowledge that rules applied to other groups do \nnot apply to my accusers, (for whom vexatious prosecutions are \napparently a lifestyle choice), and that the rest of us must be silent \nor else face the music \u2013 with real teeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
