<\/figure>\n\n\n\nLindsay Fraser<\/a> started this petition to GoFundMe<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n If\n you have been following the news you have most likely heard of this \nself-righteous bro who owns a bbq joint in Etobicoke that is going \nagainst the provincial government\u2019s mandates to protect the people. \nWhether you agree with these mandates or not, he is putting the lives of\n others at risk and selfishly breaking the law in order to gain fame and\n attention. This has led to him being arrested and charged, as well as \ntax payers money being wasted in the fight against his nonsense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Now a third party (who does not know this man) has gotten involved \nand set up a GoFundMe to raise money for him so that he can fight the \ncharges against him – which is nearing a quarter of a million dollars!<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is not right and I am asking GoFundMe to reevaluate what it\u2019s \nplatform should and should not be used for and to remove this so called \n\u201cfundraiser” immediately. It\u2019s setting a bad precedent for others, and \ngiving money to a \u201crich kid\u201d instead of to people and small businesses \nwho actually need it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He has made decisions in which he knew there would be consequences – and he should pay for them himself!<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is important to also note that this guy is not the \u201csmall business\n working-class hero\u201d that he is trying to portray himself as. He is a \nwhite privileged anti-masker conspiracy theorist who comes from money \nand is known in Toronto for being an \u201cattention seeker\u201d. Earlier this \nyear he was called out by the media after he had a public meltdown on \nTwitter over the Covid-19 pandemic and repeatedly referred to others as \nthe R word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Please help by signing this petition to let GoFundMe know that you \nare not ok with this behaviour and that their platform should suspend \nthis fundraiser immediately.<\/a>Start a petition of your own<\/strong>This petition starter stood up and took action.
