Mr. Love was in court for his first appearance after being charged with 10 counts of &#8220;mischief under $5,000&#8221; for allegedly putting up &#8220;Keep Canada White&#8221; posters about town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Love never got to see the judge. He and others who had appearances were rerouted to a desk. Mr. Love was offered a &#8220;deal&#8221;. If he pled guilty, he&#8217;d be sentenced to six months in jail. &#8220;No deal,&#8221; Mr. Love told the official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;My rights have been violated,|&#8221; Mr. Love told CAFE, &#8220;I wanted to see a ban on publicity to protect my rights.&#8221; The local paper has complained to the police and instigated charges which were dismissed for Mr. Love&#8217;s having called reporters and challenged their reporting or lack of it.
