The Bristow case showed how the Political powers in Ottawa\u00a0 (Liberal Party of Canada) used spies to attempt to embarrass political parties\u00a0 (Reform Party). The Liberal government then whitewashed the entire affair\u00a0 through Bob Rae and the Security Intelligence Review Committee (SIRC) which\u00a0 issued a report called “The Heritage Front Affair”.
