I cannot believe it.<\/p>\n

We sent David \u201cThe Menzoid\u201d Menzies to report from an Andrew Scheer campaign event. Like we normally do.<\/p>\n

CBC journalists were welcomed<\/strong>.\u00a0But David was kicked out<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

They actually sent police to throw him out.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

They said David wasn\u2019t \u201caccredited\u201d. Really? David\u2019s been an accredited journalist for 30 years \u2014 he\u2019s covered hundreds of political events from parties of every stripe.<\/p>\n

Why would Scheer kick out David, but welcome the CBC \u2014 who despise the Conservatives?<\/p>\n

None of this makes sense.<\/p>\n

Anyways, David left the property. He went to the public sidewalk. He started filming a video about being kicked out. And then he was swarmed by police.<\/p>\n

And this time, they arrested him and handcuffed him.<\/p>\n

Why did they do that?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Who ordered them to do that?<\/strong><\/p>\n

He as on the sidewalk.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s a man in his fifties with two artificial hips. He\u2019s not a screaming Antifa thug; he\u2019s not a trespasser.<\/p>\n

They handcuffed him. Why? To humiliate him?<\/p>\n

They finally took off his cuffs and he called me. But then more police came and took away his phone. I immediately called a lawyer. Within an hour, the police let him go, without any charges.<\/p>\n

But their point was made: don\u2019t you dare try to ask questions of our political elites. Or the police will arrest you.<\/p>\n

Well, point not taken.<\/p>\n

I can tell you one thing: today\u2019s outrageous treatment of David Menzies will not stop us from doing our jobs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll be candid, we\u2019re more used to Justin Trudeau banning us \u2014 and Rachel Notley before she was fired by voters. It says more about them than it does about us. Actually it does say something about us:\u00a0we ask questions that politicians would rather not be asked<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Can you please help us? We need your help<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

There are three things you can do:<\/p>\n

1. Tell your local conservative candidate that this is nuts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a Trudeau move, not a conservative move. Ask your Conservative candidate if they think it\u2019s wise to have police arrest the only conservative-leaning video company in Canada. Frankly, no reporter of any stripe should be arrested. This is Canada.<\/p>\n

2. Second, sign our petition to Andrew Scheer at<\/strong>\u00a0LetUsReport.com<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s just what it sounds like. Let Us Report \u2014 just like Scheer lets the CBC report. We need to show him that Canadians \u2014 especially Conservatives \u2014 believe in free speech and freedom of the press. Maybe he\u2019s been hanging out in Ottawa too long to remember that.<\/p>\n

3. Please help us keep on reporting, no matter who kicks us out<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I just got off the phone with David, and I\u2019ve told him to keep asking Andrew Scheer questions. Not gotcha questions, but real questions \u2014 the kind the CBC would never ask him. Questions like these:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Justin Trudeau\u2019s campaign platform calls for new political censorship of the Internet. Do you support or oppose this?<\/em>
\n\u2022 If elected, would you end the $600 million newspaper bail-out?<\/em>
\n\u2022 If elected, would you privatize the CBC?<\/em>
\n\u2022 What do you think the optimum number of immigrants is each year for Canada?<\/em>
\n\u2022 …and so many more.<\/em><\/p>\n

Those aren\u2019t trick questions. They\u2019re questions any conservative should answer. But they\u2019re questions that only Rebel News would ask. I mean, can you really see a CBC journalist pressing Scheer about ending the bail-out?<\/p>\n

My goal as the publisher of Rebel News is to do journalism \u2014 to tell the other side of the story. Most of the time, that means asking accountability questions of the Liberals, NDP and Greens, because the mainstream media never does.<\/p>\n

We lean conservative here at Rebel News, and we wear our heart on our sleeves \u2014 we want Trudeau gone. I just wrote the best-selling book called The Libranos: What the media won\u2019t tell you about Justin Trudeau\u2019s corruption. I think it\u2019s clear what I stand for.<\/p>\n

But that doesn\u2019t mean we\u2019re going to let Scheer become like Trudeau.\u00a0Having police arrest David Menzies was a Trudeau move, not a move any conservative should be proud of<\/strong>.\u00a0Actually it\u2019s worse \u2014 I\u2019ve never actually seen Trudeau have someone arrested, have you?<\/p>\n
