and still no<\/b> condemnation by the EU or British Government or the media … what will it take to break this indifference?<\/b><\/div>\n

My friend and activist for rural safety, Annette Kennealy, has herself become a victim of a vicious farm murder. She was apparently beaten to death with a pipe and a hammer, on her smallholding outside Louis Trichardt.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
She served as a municipal councillor for four years, was always full of energy, loved dogs and horses.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The entire community up there in Louis Trichardt is grieving, together with everyone who knew her.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
She was very brave, and always carried her gun, a 9mm Astra pistol, on her. Evidently, her preparedness was not enough to save her in the end. Either she was killed by someone she knew and trusted, or they must have surprised her. Police are apparently looking for an employee to be questioned in connection with her murder.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
May she rest in peace. But may the shock of her death also set us thinking about our future in this country which has fallen into an abyss of evil, rapacity and bloodlust.<\/div>\n
